lunch break

"Yui dear, Tetsuro's going to start volleyball Camp today. Go and bring him this lunchbox I made." mom said as I came down the stairs to look for my shoes.

"huh? But I have work today." I groaned, trying to get myself out.

"I know. Can't you pass by during lunch?" she said with a snide tone to her voice. See, This is where I inherited my attitude from.

"ugh... It's so far away." I complained some more.

She didn't say anything. She looked me straight in the eye and just put the bento on the table then left.

I had no choice.

Well, it's fine. At least I get to see the other teams who were there..

More teams = more boys. ❤❤

I checked myself in the mirror one last time.

Then I left for work.

Today was particularly a good day. The weather was so nice. So i enjoyed my daily commute.

I came in our office space and saw Oikawa staring at me with the brightest smile from his desk as I passed by.

I try to internalize my environment for one last time. This'll be the last week I'll be working here. Truth be told, I'm gonna miss it here.

Even if there were some mishaps here and there, it wasn't really that much compared to the fun I had. (typing files and stapling paper lol. Intern feels)

"you already saw me but you didn't even greet me." someone whispered in my ear behind me.

It kinda startled me before I could turn around to face who it was. "good lord! Oikawa." I exclaimed as I put my hand to my chest.

He chuckled as he walked with me to my desk. "so, how did it go with that guy the other night?" he asked.

"thankfully he didn't tell my parents I went out on my own late at night... In my pajamas..." I really wanted to facepalm as I tried to hide my embarrassment.

"that neighbor of yours is too nosey though." he furrowed his eyebrows.

"no," I chuckled, "you don't understand. Remember that friend I always hangout with?"

"yeah... It's him?"

"yeah. But it's not like we have a choice. Our parents are super close since we were kids so.." I shrugged.

"oh," he suddenly looked at me with a blank face but I could tell he swallowed down hard.

"sorry if you worried." I smiled at him.

He said nothing. His eyes then shifted to the three story bento wrapped in translucent green cloth. "what's with the bento?" he asked. Maybe he was thinking that I was gonna share the bento for lunch.

"oh yeah... Well, I'll be out for lunch. My mom made me run an errand. I have to deliver this somewhere." I sighed as I stared at the bento.

"want me to come with you?" he asked, and he sounded a little worried again.

"no! Actually I'm fine. I can manage on my own. But thanks, Oikawa-- Tooru." I smiled at him. My heart kinda skipped a beat when he does that. He worries about me.

After that, he went back and we started to do our work of filing paperwork and typing stuff up for reports.

I'm actually glad this is almost over. If it weren't for Oikawa, I wouldn't have stuck around this place anyway.
