"you stupid butt... You're gonna be late again." I scolded as he put his shoes on. My arm was getting strained from his heavy bag he made me hold.

He was in his red varsity jacket and shorts and is on his way to his volleyball practice.

Tetsuro is the captain of the volleyball team but he's always late or lazing around. I guess he's the best example of a cat? He embodies our school well.

Even if he seems apathetic, he's actually known to be the scheming captain of Nekoma. He's actually really good. He's a beast on the playing court.

Volleyball is his thing with Kenma and I think that it's great he makes that kid play. I support those two all the way.

Kenma and I don't get along very well. He's just so quiet and hooked on his game, it's hard to keep a conversation going with him... But Tetsuro understands him well without words.

He finally stood up. He looked at me and took his bag which I dropped into his hand letting all the force fall.
"see you." I bid goodbye.

"where are you going?" he asked.

"home duh.." I replied.

"you won't wait for me? Watch me practice." he said.

"nah. Volleyball's dumb." I growled. I didn't mean what I said though. I just didn't want to stay any longer.

I didn't want to stay any longer because I was meeting a friend of mine outside.

We haven't seen each other since the last week of summer so, why not?

I wasn't excited, but we arranged to meet at 5 after class at a coffee shop near my area. I better get there before he does because he's from the other side of town.

So I parted ways with Tetsuro and went on my way.

I arrived at the coffee shop with a quarter of an hour to spare. I looked around and to my surprise, he was already there at the farthest table and he already had his eyes on me.

His hair, perfect and his face in a sly smile as he stared at me from afar. He had his chin resting on his knuckles as he waited.

My eyes widened in panic. I rushed to where he was right away.

"you're so early! It's not even 5!" I exclaimed not that I was scolding him or anything.

He chuckled, "it's because I missed seeing you hurry." he teased.

"can't you just miss me for me and not because you like making fun of me?" I breathed as I sat down across from him while pretending to sulk like a little kid.

"of course I missed all of you, Yui. Do you think I'd be this early if I didn't?" he smiled his warm smile.

I just stared at him skeptically.

"so, let's order? What do you want?" he asked me as he called for a waitress.

The girl hurriedly went to us and gave him the menu. "thank you." his voice uttered as he looked at the lady. She almost fainted.

Tooru did have an air of a gentleman to him. When I'm with him, I feel like a little girl who can't do anything. It's like he's so dependable and all your mom could ever want in a son in law.

"it's been a while hasn't it?" he said as he looked at the menu then to me.

"it's been less than a month." I laughed.

"has it? It felt longer than that..." he made eye contact with me which just made my heart melt.

"just order already." I avoided him by looking out the window.
