Everyday, Oikawa greeted me with a bright smile. He never failed to make my day ever since I started working with him.

"hey wanna go out after work?" he asked me as he put his chin on my artificial stall wall. He had a pleasant smile on his face and his eyes were as tame as a lamb. He just really hits my soft spot for cute little boys.

"sure. Where to?" I asked him trying to reply with the same kind of smile.

"I really don't know. Let's just hangout at the mall I guess. Maybe eat, you know?" he shrugged.

Well, I wanted to get to know him better. He was my only friend at work, so why not? This was the perfect time to start.

And besides, I have to buy a new light bulb for my desk lamp that has been sitting there for two weeks now.

"alright. After work." I nodded.

"alright, see you then Otonashi-chan~" he hummed.

.

At exactly 5 p.m. Oikawa came and sat on my table with a wide grin.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. "you're done already?" I asked because I was still in the process of putting my things away.

"yup. I'm efficient like that." he crowed. I was waiting for him to whip his bangs or something.

"well, you have to wait because..." I took a breath, "I'm still getting my shit together." the words slipped out like it usually does. I quickly covered my mouth and took a glance at him like I was done for.

He chuckled. "don't worry. It happens."

I finally got my things done and tidy. "lemme carry your bag for you, Otonashi chan." he took my bag off of my shoulder and carried it like a gentleman.

"thanks." I felt a small blush build up on my cheeks.

I was sold. Oikawa's really really nice.

"so what are we gonna do here?" I asked when we got to the mall.

"well, I was thinking of watching a movie. But if you wanna do something else, it's fine." he answered. I looked at him and he was looking at me at the corner of his eye, waiting for my answer.

"it's been a while since I've seen a movie. That would be great." I smiled.

"great! I'll buy the tickets." he sounded really happy and it warmed my heart.

"alright, I'll buy the food then."

.

We decided to watch the last movie of the Hunger Games, Mocking Jay.

With a big bucket of popcorn and large drinks, we sat down in the upper middle part of the cinema. The movie wasn't on yet but we already started eating

"have you watched the other Hunger Games movies?" I asked him as I looked at the side of his face.

"yeah. Jenifer is really my type. Have you?" he replied.

"I know! She's so pretty! I'm actually a fan of the Hunger Games." I nodded.

"so you've read the books?" he asked, turning to looking at me.

"what books?" I had no clue what he was talking about.

"The Hunger Games books..." he asked.

"oh... No, just the movies." I shook my head. I'm such a loser.

Why do I keep on embarrassing my sled today...

"I haven't either. If it weren't for Jennifer Lawrence, I wouldn't be interested." he said.

"so you like all her movies?"

"yeah. I do. I like the Xmen too. I'm actually waiting for the new one this year." he replied.

I just nodded because I suffered my face with popcorn.

The movie started. We sat back into our seats and watched quietly.

"you live far from here?" he suddenly brought up with a whisper.

"not really. Why?"

"where?"

"just a bus ride to district 33."

He nodded.

"you?"

"I live on the other side of town."

"oh." I really tried to say little so I can watch the movie because this was the last one.

"what school do you go to again?" he whispered in my ear.

"Nekoma Highschool. You?"

"Aoba Johsai." he answered.

"oh Seijoh? Really?? You're from there??" I freaked in a whispered voice.

"yeah. I'm a senior there." he smiled coolly.

"wow. I never knew you were that smart." I smiled at him, impressed.

"yeah. I got in there by luck. I had a good recommendation that's why." he explained.

"I'm impressed." I nodded, "you play sports?"

"well actually, I'm the captain of the Volleyball Team." he replied.

My jaw dropped. Great. Another volleyball player. -_-||

.

I didn't get to concentrate on the movie that much because we had conversations here and there when something came up his mind that he wanted to ask me.

On our way home, we were still going on about the movie and the great ending.

"that was a really fun, Otonashi." he pat my shoulder.

"just call me Yui." i smiled. It's not a big deal, I just want him to know that i consider him a good friend.

"really?" he sounded happy, "Yui~" he breathed and then smiled so warmly.

"you got it. Well, we better get going now, Oikawa-kun." i said.

"I'll take you home." he insisted.

"no, you live all the way on the other side. I don't want you to trouble yourself. I can manage." I politely refused.

"no, it's okay!"

"Oikawa-kun, I'm fine. Seriously. You'll still see me alive on Monday." I kid.

He sighed a loud sigh, "Fine. I'll just walk you to the bus stop then?" he bargained.

"alright, the bus stop." I nodded.

I felt warm and fuzzy inside. I've never encountered someone who makes me feel like someone cares for me...
