Summer Holidays Finn Wolfhard X reader

Day 5

Your POV 

I saw Dave running towards me while i sat in the games room, it was filled with arcade machines and table tennis tables.
"Hey, Dave" I said smiling as he held out his hand to help me up. I jumped to my feet and asked him if he wanted to give me a game of the motorbike racing game  "duh" he said laughing. I loved his laugh. We both climbed on the fake motorbike. He put his fingers through his hair and smirked at me. He looked so cute right now. 

We are both so competitive so when we play a game is almost like life or death, Dave asked to sit down for a bit because we had been playing for a while. I nodded and we sat down on the bench in the corner of the room and we talked for a bit. I'm surprised that it wasn't awkward between us. he then put his arm around me with a stretch "smooth" i said giggling "It worked though right?" he said with a wink i just shook my head sarcastically and looked away. "you're adorable" he said going red i smiled and blushed back "so  are you" i added. We sat like that for a bit, not really saying much but just enjoying each others company. In the 5 days i have known him this is the happiest i've seen him, he has laughed more today then all the other days combined. "wanna get back to work" he said keeping eye contact. "Huh?" i said confused "Like, playing games again" he said explaining himself "Oh yeah, sure haha" i said giggling at my stupidity.

After we played a few games Dave asked me to hold his phone while he went to get a drink, i felt it vibrate so I looked down at a text that read...

"Hey Finn need you to call me asap!!" I assumed it was the wrong number or something  so i just replied to save Dave the trouble "No, Finn here. This is Dave :)" I laughed and put the phone back away from my face, I wonder who this Finn guy is... First the girls now this. but i felt another vibration weird "Who the hell is Dave... You trippin' m8?" I read that a couple of times, each time more confused then the last 

"Hey, i saw this cool ice cream place near he-what's wrong " he said, his face dropped as he saw what i was looking at. hey quickly grabbed his phone back "I thought it was the wrong number at first but now i'm not so sure" i said frowning "That was just my friend Jack" he said looking worried "Why did he call you Finn?" He looked around, obviously uncomfortable "can we talk about this later?" he asked, practically begging "No... We can talk about this now!" i said crossing my arms, my heart was racing because i'm normally never this confrontal. "Like you said... It was probably a wrong number or he got mixed up" He said hesitantly. I just took this crappy excuse and ran with it because i didn't want to believe that he was lying to me. We stood quietly for a few seconds avoiding eye contact before Dave broke the silence by continuing what he was saying earlier " i saw a cool ice cream place near here if you still want to go with me" I nodded and tried to forget what just happened. 

As we walked into the ice cream shop I got a waft of sweet air that smelt amazing. "Its supposed to be the best in Hawaii" he said smelling the air, I whipped my head around and looked at him wide eyed and said "Daaaave! How did you find this place" grabbing onto his arm. he laughed and replied "I'm amazing right".

Finn/Daves POV 

I looked at my phone again trying not to let y/n see me, I saw the text that she replied to from Jack it said "Hey Finn need you to call me asap!!" I told y/n that i was going to the toilet, I needed to know what this was about. As i stood up i clicked the call button and the phone started ringing

"Hey dude" a voice said from the other line....

"Hey" I said opening the door of the bathroom door and checking that no one else was in the stalls "What did you want to call me about loser i'm on a date" I continued 

"Hold up.... A DATE?!" He said, i could hear the genuine shock in his voice 

"Yeah, well.... sorta" I replied

" Finn Wolfhard on a date who would have thought" he said it seemed like he was speaking to someone else "Wait.... Finn, do you know a Dave because he had your phone"
"Oh uhh... Thats weird.... I don't know a Dave"

"Hah, That's what I said!" He shouted "I told you!!" he said obviously talking to someone else again

"Who are you with Jack?" I asked "Oh... can i tell him?  no? okay . Its a surprise i cant tell you sorry" 

"Uh okay..." I said 

"So who is the girl lucky enough to get with The Finn Wolfhard" jack said being loud as usual

"Shut up Jack, and her name is y/n l/n" I replied blushing to myself

"Cool.... Is she hot" Jack said, I heard sniggers in the background 

"Okay Jack who are the people that were laughing"

"I have to go now-" "Don't you dare hang up"I interrupted "BYEEE!!" he said hanging up

Ughhh.

Your POV

Dave came back and we started to walk back .We froze at the sound of rumbling "Shit" i heard Dave mutter under his breath. Suddenly a storm started, it was almost like there was a huge bucket full of water being poured on us... It was heavy.  Dave held out his hand and said "here" I looked up at him and grabbed it. We ran as fast as our legs could take us trying to get out of the rain as fast as possible, we saw a sheltered bit just behind the resort and he edged up against the wall in piles of laughter, soaking wet and still holding hands. He locked eyes with mine and started to look serious again he walked towards me and put his arms around my waist i wrapped my arms around his neck and closed my eyes. I felt his lips touch mine as he went in for a kiss. Any normal day this would have made me feel claustrophobic being up against the wall with someone else pressed against me, but being in Dave's arms made me feel safe and like i didn't have a care in the world. He pulled away before we went any further and we walked back into the resort.
