CHAPTER SIX

The boys now surprised by the sudden call of an unknown person, looks at each other not knowing what to do next as they now have even more trouble on their plate. Taehyung who still shocked but also happy hearing his three friends are still alive doesn’t know what to do as the whole situation has gotten worse. Namjoon also now looking at the skies as if asking for someone or something to help them decide on what to do.

Jungkook POV
I don’t know what to do next, the Hyungs can’t help me find Madelyn on the cost of their love ones. I also can’t ask them to sacrifice themselves to do it.

Taehyung POV
They are still alive, that makes me even more happy now. I know now that I have to help Jungkook find Madelyn, because they could be held captive at the same place or am I thinking too far.

Namjoon POV
They took Ion, but we were with her a few minutes ago, so that means they haven’t gone far. I still have to think of a plan to save all of these people as well as to keep my dongsaeng's safe.

Jungkook: I think it would be best for you to...
Taehyung: Let’s keep going..
Jungkook: But... But what about your friends..
Taehyung: You’re my friend Jungkook and I also get the feeling that..
Namjoon: They all are being kept in the same place.
Taehyung: Exactly..

Normal POV
Namjoon looking at the determination of Taehyung and Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. He takes a last look at them before turning around and signalling them to follow him. Taehyung being the first to walk forward, slightly looks back at Jungkook and giving him a smile that says “ All will work out”..

Taehyung POV
I’m feeling more determined to find them all now. I could help Jungkook find his love and also find the girls that become like my life. I’m burning with energy.

Namjoon POV
Seems these kidnappers made a mistake by kidnapping and revealing that they have all those girls together. I mean they are like telling us that they have them all in one place and one rescue could mean all of them will be safe.

Jungkook POV
The hyungs seem to be ready for anything and Taehyung's eyes show pure determination. I only ever saw that look when he went to sign up for the school play in order to impress a girl.

Namjoon: Are you boys ready..?
Taehyung: More ready than ever..
Jungkook: Yes..
Namjoon: Then let’s look for a place and figure out what that clues mean..

(Taehyung turns to Namjoon)
Taehyung: Wait Hyung didn’t you get a clue as well, I mean since Ion was one of the girls Madelyn trusted.?
Jungkook: Yeah.. What was your clue..?
Namjoon: Mine was.. “The road is long... But the treasure is near”..
Taehyung: The road is long... But the treasure is near... That sounds more complicated than ours.

Normal POV
Taehyung and Jungkook who once was determined suddenly went confused as they hear Namjoon's part of the story. Namjoon seeing the looks they are giving can just laugh and stops walking.

Namjoon: It is quite easier than you think..
Taehyung: What do you mean?
Namjoon: Well for starters listen to the first part.
Jungkook: The road is long.. Yeah what about that..
Namjoon: What have we been through so far as well, how long have we been walking..
Taehyung POV
This whole story clue thing is getting more and more confusing. I have no idea what it means or how it will lead us to these girls.

Namjoon: Let’s just find a place and I’ll explain it to you all..
Taehyung: Fine let’s go...

( The rain starts pouring)
Jungkook: Oh no.... Let’s hurry before we get wet..
Taehyung: Namjoon let’s hide Inside that building ahead..
Namjoon: Yeah it’s better , but it’s far we better pick up the pace..

Normal POV
The three boys now running at a good pace trying to get inside the building that happens to be ahead of them, gets into a little trouble as the sudden breathing of Jungkook seems to worry Taehyung. Namjoon looking back and seeing the worry look Taehyung has on his face, suddenly looks at Jungkook and notices that he’s out of breath. Namjoon decides to stop.

Namjoon: Jungkook what’s wrong..?
Jungkook: I don’t know, I’m just having trouble breathing..

Normal POV
Namjoon getting worried about Jungkook's breathing looks around thinking of a way to rest away from this rain. Taehyung seeing Namjoon struggling to find a place suddenly crouches in front of Jungkook.

Taehyung: Get on.. I’ll carry you..
Namjoon: Good idea.. You carry half way and I’ll carry the rest..
Taehyung: Sounds good.

Normal POV
Jungkook not trying to argue gets on the back of Taehyung and they are off again. Namjoon trying to let Taehyung run ahead in case Jungkook falls off. Taehyung seeing the building ahead suddenly gets tired and stops signalling Namjoon to take over. Jungkook gets off slowly and let’s Taehyung rest for now.
Namjoon gives Taehyung the bag and goes in front of Jungkook and gets down. Jungkook gets on Namjoon and holds on, when Namjoon started running with a very worried Taehyung behind them.
After a few minutes of running the boys finally reach the building and to their luck the front door is open.

Jungkook: Seems we’re lucky this time.
Taehyung: Yeah..
Namjoon: (Slowly takes Jungkook off of him).. Jungkook go rest a while..
Jungkook: But what about the figuring out the clues idea..
Taehyung: We’ll do that when you’re done resting..
Namjoon: Yeah, so go we will rest as well..
Taehyung: Sounds Good..
Jungkook: Okay..

Taehyung POV
I still don’t get why Jungkook was out of breath so quickly , was it from too much stress or what. I’ve seen Jungkook run a total of 7 laps when we were in High School and to make it more impressive he wasn’t tired after that, so what makes it different this time.

Namjoon POV
What might be wrong with Jungkook, is all this running wearing him out or what. I’m starting to get worried about this boy, it seems Taehyung can keep up but what suddenly happened to the determination Jungkook had earlier.

Normal POV
The concern of Jungkook’s health has Namjoon and Taehyung unable to sleep. Taehyung knowing Jungkook the best has a sudden concern as he has never seen Jungkook out of breath like he is seeing right now. Namjoon being the leader doesn’t have any clue what is making Jungkook take deep breaths like what he’s doing now.
Jungkook finally being able to sleep, tries to take it easy but for some reason the more he breaths the more the pain in his chest worsens. Taehyung being the first to notice this quickly heads to Jungkook and tries to calm him down.

Taehyung: Jungkook... Jungkook!!
Namjoon: What’s wrong?
Taehyung: Every time he breaths, he holds his chest..
Namjoon: Do you think it could be..

Normal POV
Namjoon suddenly remembers that this can become a huge problem if Jungkook doesn’t get to a hospital as soon as possible, but deep down he knows that it’ll expose them and probably get them killed as well. Namjoon thinking very hard what to do looks at Taehyung and gesturing him that he has no idea what he should do.

Jungkook: I’m okay, this pain can’t bring me down..

(Namjoon and Taehyung startled by Jungkook suddenly speaking)
Namjoon: Jungkook this kind of breathing followed by pain could become serious..
Taehyung: Yes, don’t you think we should take you to a hospital..
Jungkook: You do know that the distance to the hospital is impossible right..(cringes from the pain)
Namjoon: Then what do you suggest..
Jungkook: Let me just rest..

[ ELSEWHERE]
Unknown POV
I better hurry or I’ll be late and I can’t afford to be late again. I wish I had a car or at least money to pay for a taxi, just why did I have to buy those products. I have to pick up my pace but these stuff in my bag is way too heavy how.. What do I do now...

Normal POV
The unknown character suddenly seems to be in a pinch as he doesn’t know what to do, as his bag seems to be full of products and most of them seem to be too heavy for him to carry. He looks around trying to find someone he could give some of these products as a donation, but the street is empty no car or person in sight.
After walking slowly for a long time, this individual seems to give up knowing he’s going to be fired as he’s already 2 hours late..

Namjoon: Jungkook this kind of breathing followed by pain could become serious..
Taehyung: Yes, don’t you think we should take you to a hospital..
Jungkook: You do know that the distance to the hospital is impossible right..(cringes from the pain)
Namjoon: Then what do you suggest..
Jungkook: Let me just rest..

Normal POV
The sudden words of these mysterious people got the attention of this unknown guy as he somehow recognizes the voice as well as the name of them, but he can’t be sure since he knows this side of town is incredibly dangerous.

Unknown POV
The name Jungkook sounds familiar, could it belong to Jeon Jungkook or is it perhaps someone else. I need to find out but what if its thugs, I don’t have the fighting ability to fight three of them. I need to make sure, because I mean these people seem to be in pain over something and I just happen to be a doctor, or well a doctor in training.

Jungkook: I can try to sleep..
Taehyung: Wait.. I’ll get you something to lay on...
Jungkook: I’m already laying on something..
Taehyung: I mean something to use as a pillow...
Namjoon: Go there Taehyung, that looks like some sponges..
Taehyung: Okay I see them..

Unknown POV
First it was Jungkook now Taehyung I’m pretty sure it is them... But how do I approach them.. I need to put on my hoodie and try to conceal who I am or they might recognize me right away.
(Takes off bag and takes out his hoodie, and puts it on)

Now I need to go Inside and see what I can do to help them.

Namjoon POV
I don’t know what else I can do for Jungkook, this is getting worse and he’s too young to die now..
Taehyung POV
I have to hurry and find items to help Jungkook I can’t sit here and hoping he gets better. I can see Namjoon is trying to think of a solution but it’s hard when there’s something as big as this at stake.

Unknown: I can help..

(The three of them look at the door immediately after hearing the voice)
Namjoon: (Quickly standing up and stands front of Jungkook...)
Taehyung: (Runs to Namjoon's side).. WHO ARE YOU??
Unknown: I overheard you struggling with this guy, so I’m a trained doctor..
Taehyung: Please help him!!.
Namjoon: Yes please..

Normal POV
The unknown character getting the approval of Namjoon and Taehyung quickly heads to Jungkook’s side and tries to help him. Taehyung being the most worried as this unknown person seems to be having trouble finding out what might be wrong with Jungkook.

Taehyung: Do you know what you’re doing?
Unknown: He’s going to be fine, just remove his jacket..
Namjoon: Are you sure?
Unknown: Yes I’m sure...

Jungkook POV
This scent on this guy's jacket smells familiar... Wait.. No it can’t be..(suddenly starts smiling)

Taehyung POV
Jungkook seems to be smiling and breathing normally now. Just who is this mysterious person who came to help us in the nick of time.

Namjoon POV
This guy surely saved us as well as Jungkook, just how do we repay him. The sort of payment doctors want we don’t have ,so what do we do now..
Taehyung: Thank You, but who are you..?
Jungkook: Thank You Jin Hyung..

(Taehyung and Namjoon looks at Jungkook and quickly back to this character)
Taehyung: Jin Hyung??? What???
Namjoon: JIN!!!
( The unknown person removes hoodie)

Jin: How did you know it was me?
Jungkook: You still use the same perfume, you used in High School..
Jin: Clever is see..

Normal POV
Taehyung being the happiest runs to Jin and gives him a Big hug, followed by Namjoon. The two boys seems to be unable to let go as they are too happy to see him. Taehyung starts shedding some tears as he was always praying and hoping another one of his friends would come and help them. Namjoon looking at Taehyung shedding some tears couldn’t help but to shed some too.
Jin finally seeing these boys after being apart from them for almost two years didn’t want to move away from the hug. After a few minutes of hugging they finally went apart.

Jin: I missed you guys..
Jungkook: (slowly standing up).. I missed you too Hyung..
Taehyung: Me too
Namjoon: And me.

Jin POV
These boys look extremely exhausted, I wonder why.. But I don’t want to ask seeing as they just went through something terrible. I think I need to talk with Namjoon to find out about something very important.

Namjoon POV
As always Jin seems to have picked up something is wrong here.. But I should’ve expected it seeing he was the one taking care of us when we were in high school.
Taehyung POV
I don’t want to make Jungkook worried again, but we have to tell Jin Hyung about what happened to us so far, maybe he’ll be able to help us find some solutions.

Jungkook: I think we should tell Jin Hyung about everything..
Jin: I was about to ask what might be wrong..
Namjoon: Okay I’ll tell him, you two go get some rest..
Taehyung: Okay Hyung..
Jungkook: Okay will do Hyung..

Normal POV
Namjoon signalling Jin to follow him starts walking while explaining to him what they went through for the past two days. Jin who’s shocked to hear what they went through, couldn’t say anything but just listen. Namjoon further explains of Jungkook’s girlfriend who everyone thought died 3 years ago, was in fact kidnapped before the car exploded. Jin who looks confused as to why nobody told them that back then, just looked at Namjoon to wait and finish what he was talking about.
Namjoon finishing of by telling of the friends Taehyung and he himself met and also the clues they received, but now finding it difficult to cope as the pressure on them has gotten worse.

Jin: So what kind of clues are you referring to?
Namjoon: It’s like a very short story that each of us received, and this girl who I’ve spoken to tells us that if all these pieces come together it will reveal a clue as to where their hideout may be.
Jin: And you all assume these girls including Madelyn may be held there.
Namjoon: Yes..
Jin: Don’t you think all of this it too easy..??
Namjoon: What do you mean??

(At that moment Jungkook and Taehyung woke up, hearing what Jin just said)
Taehyung: What do you mean by too easy Hyung?
Jin: Just think, all of these clues were given by these girls and suddenly after meeting this one girl named Ion.. They all are suddenly brought up as kidnapped and held prisoner at a specific place..
Jungkook: I don’t quite understand..
Jin: All I’m saying is that I don’t think Madelyn is at the same place these girls are being held..
Jungkook: WHAT!!
Namjoon: I see what you mean now Jin.
Taehyung: I don’t see it..
Jungkook: Me neither..
Jin: Madelyn was being held captive for almost three years so...
Namjoon: They wouldn’t make it so easy for us to find her..
Jin: Exactly..

Jungkook POV
Just when I thought we might be getting closer to finding her, I hear she wouldn’t be with these girls. I just wish we can get closer to her at least. These clues but not getting anywhere is killing me.

Normal POV
The sudden words of Jin and Namjoon set something of inside Jungkook as he completely gets frustrated. He thought the clues that these girls may be held somewhere is a sign that Madelyn is close by, but to his disappointment it doesn’t look as if Madelyn is there.
Jin noticing Jungkook losing hope tries to think of something before Jungkook loses all hope, but he can’t seeing as this task seems to be of those impossible sort. Jin looks at Namjoon looking worried and sad about Jungkook and sees Taehyung trying his best to calm Jungkook down, then remembers that Namjoon mentioned something about clues of a short story.

Jin: Namjoon, earlier you said something about a short story clue..

(All three boys look at Jin)
Namjoon: Yes, each one of us got a clue..
Jin: I want each one of you to tell me about it..
Namjoon: Mine says..” The road is long.. But the treasure is near”..
Jungkook: Mine says.. “ The leaves may fall one by one.. But the tree will remain standing”
Taehyung: And mine says.. “ The branches on the tree... We will one day see”..

Jin POV
Namjoon’s one seems different, but I can tell Taehyung and Jungkook’s are related as both talk about a tree. I just wonder what does Namjoon’s one mean, wait I think it...

Jin: I noticed Jungkook and Taehyung’s ones are related..
Namjoon: You know you got a point there..
Jungkook: I don’t understand..
Taehyung: Me neither..
Jin: The clues you two got speaks about a tree... WAIT I GOT IT!!! The first clue..

(The three boys stunned by Jin’s sudden excitement)
Namjoon: What!!
Taehyung: What Hyung.
Jin: The first clue is Taehyung and Jungkook’s, but it tests you by adding one that shouldn’t be there..
Taehyung: Huh???
Jungkook: Huh???
Jin: If you take yours Jungkook..” The leaves may fall one by one.. But the tree will remain standing “.. And you combine it with Taehyung’s.. “ The branches on the tree... We will one day see”.. You will get..” The leaves may fall one by one.. But the branches on the tree we will one day see”..

Normal POV
Jin finally able to get the first clue suddenly makes Jungkook as well as the other two have a smile upon their faces. Namjoon still surprised as why he couldn’t figure that out, could just look at Jin and smile.. Like saying “Thanks for being here..”. Taehyung on the other hand still confused as to what that could mean, looks at Jin..

Taehyung: But what does that mean..?
Jungkook: Yeah..
Jin: Don’t you remember the first day of High school..
Jungkook: What do you mean?
Namjoon: Wait.. Wait..
Taehyung: What Hyung??
Namjoon: It’s like one of the stories Ms.Nayeon once told us.. The same day..
Jin: Madelyn came to our school...

Normal POV
Jungkook now surprised as to hearing that, all this clues has something to do with a story some people they already met once told them. Taehyung finally realizing what is going on tries to figure out more things that could help them. Jungkook looks at Jin and then at Namjoon.

Jungkook: But what does Namjoon Hyungs mean??
Namjoon: Yeah..
Jin: I think its related to my one..
Taehyung: You got one too..
Jin: Yes.. I received one from my girlfriend.. But she was taken away when I was at work..1 year ago.
Jungkook: What was her name..
Jin: Lhyne..
Namjoon: Sorry to hear that dude.. What was the one she told you..?
Jin: She said..” The road you take it will show...  Something ahead that you know “..
Jungkook: This time yours have something to do with a road..
Jin: Yes..
Taehyung: Let’s get ready to move, I think I hear voices outside..
Namjoon : We can continue this when we find somewhere safer..
Jin: Let’s Go..

Normal POV
The boys pack up all their things as they suddenly hear voices outside. Jin knowing these streets the best, knows that hearing voices outside means trouble. Jungkook hurries ahead seeing as he hasn’t recovered fully yet. Namjoon trying to help Jin pack up his equipment while Taehyung runs to where Jungkook is walking, to make sure Jungkook is still okay.
Jin looks at Namjoon. Namjoon knowing Jin very well knew exactly what the look he gave him was for.

Namjoon: I know, but we have to hope it all works out..
Jin: Yeah that’s the best we can do now..
