Kayla and I watched the mayor talk about some bullshit nobody want to hear. I just sat at the table sitting my drink not paying him no attention.

I was ready to go and lay down. I knew I shouldn't have came.

"Girl when is this shit over." Kayla whispered.

I shrugged my shoulders continuing to sip my drink. I was feeling a little tipsy but it was good Kayla and I had our own driver tonight. I looked across to room looking at Chris as he looked at the mayor talking.

He looking good in his white suit. I bit my lip flipping my hair over his shoulder. I know I wasn't suppose to fantasize about him but he looked amazing.

After another 15 minutes went by after the mayor was done talking everyone went back to talking and drinking their drinks.

Kayla grabbed my arm

"Come one I'm ready to go." She said moving towards the door.

When I was about to go out but notice I lost my phone.

"What the hell?" I said to myself.

Kayla turned around looking at me confused.

"What?"

"I lost my phone."

"Damn and the car outside."

"You got outside it's ok."

Kayla raised her eyebrows looking at me confused,
"Nah let me help you."

I shook my head, "No it's ok, just go back to the hotel I'll meet you there."

She crossed her arms rolling her eyes.

"Alright call me when you leave." I nodded off back in the party I looked around not seeing my phone anywhere then I remembered that I went to the bathroom so I headed in the bathroom seeing it on the sink. I grabbed it to see if I got any text from my mom or Q. My mom got the kids for tonight, and Q is gone for a while.

I looked at myself in the mirror to see Chris walk in.
I was about to march out the bathroom until he grabbed me.

"Wait Jen."

"Why the hell are you in here!" I screamed.

"Just talk to me please." He said loosening his grip.
I calmed down letting him speak.

"Jen talk to me."

"What Chris?" I said crossing my arms ready to get done with this conversation.

"Why haven't you return my calls? It's been two weeks." He said crossing my hands matching my posture.

"Because Chris I told you we are two different people. It wouldn't work out anyway." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Jen." He looked into my eyes I kept looking at the floor. I can never make eye contact with him.

"Look at me Jen." I looked at him when he moved closer.

I took a step back, I didn't want him to come close to me.

"Chris please." I held my hand up shaking my head.
