I was sitting in my office going through paper work when my door barged open, walking in Mr. Harris with a big smile on his face.
"Goodmorning Jennifer."
"Goodmorning Mr. Harris." I sent a small smile.
He took a seat in one my chairs, "I have great news."
I looked at him giving him my full attention, "You know the ball that the mayor host every year with some of the most successful people?"
I nodded, knowing that's where all the boujee rich people go to floss off there business and what they have accomplished.
He went through his suit pocket handing me a envelope. I looked at him confused "What is this?"
"That's your invitation, congrats Jennifer." He said getting up opening the door winking at me walk out.
I sighed throwing the envelope across my desk. Then Kayla walked taking a seat on my desk smiling at me.
"Bitch I heard everything." She grinned, I couldn't help but smile.
"It doesn't matter I might not even go." I shrugged my shoulders.
She looked at me crazy, "Why not?"
"Because it's not my style."
"Fuck that we going." Kayla smiled
"What you mean by we?" I raised my eyebrow.
"You didn't know you can bring someone with you as a guest and I chose myself."
I laughed, Kayla is going to be real disappointed because I was not going.
"Bitch I'm not laughing we going to look real peppy get our intelligent voice ready."
I bust out laughing, this girl is crazy.

I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, when I heard my phone vibrate seeing Chris calling me again I sighed pressing decline.
I haven't talk to him since I went to his house that day. I have done good not talking to him everything was back to normal I want it to stay that way.
I heard knocking at the front door, i finished up my cooking and going to open the door to see Junior and his bestfriend Elijah and his mom Taylor with his football clothes on.
"Hey how was practice" I kissed his forehead. "It went good me and Elijah both are starter for our first game next week." Junior said excited.
"Yeah Mrs. Jennifer coach said we were the best on the team." Elijah said smiling.
"Good job you guys I'm proud." I smiled, and Taylor sent me a small grin. She is a real down to earth girl, and my son loves her.
"Well girl we got to go, I been sitting out in the sun all day." She giggled. I hugged her and Elijah as I closed the door.
Junior ran upstairs I guess going to his room. I walked back in the kitchen. My phone start ringing again. I sighed answering the phone without looking at the Caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Jen why you keep ignoring my calls?" I sighed knowing it was Chris.
"Chris plea-"
"No, don't give me that bullshit!"
I quickly hung up, I was not in the mood to hear him talking shit to me. I know I shouldn't have lead him on, that's exactly why I'm ignoring him.
