I was sitting down looking around, seeing all the people coming out which made me smile. I looked over to see Chris and Mr. Harris taking to so many people and he looked so happy.

This event was different, usually it the artwork would be in the walls but we had a huge screen, which a slideshow of all of Chris artwork on it, it look every classy, and presentable.

I looked to see Layla, Mr. Harris wife walking over to me with a huge smile on her face.

"Hello Jennifer, you look great this evening." She said taking a seat complimenting me.

"Thank you, you look great as well Layla." I said smiling.

Layla, and I have always been friendly to one another she was my bosses wife. Even though I slept with him, it was just a one time thing and that will be the last time.

"You did great with this event tonight, your clients look happy." She said looking over at Chris, and Trey.

"By the way Jennifer, where is Quincy, how is he? I haven't seen him in a while." She said being nosy.

I got irritated but I didn't show it.

"He's at home, with the children." I said giving her a faint grin.

Then Trey, and Chris walked over to us, Trey took a seat by Layla, and Chris took a seat by me.

"This is a great event you are throwing Jen, good job." He said winking at me, as Layla looked at him like she was a bit irritated with his compliment he gave me.

"Thanks, I always do the best for my clients." I said grinning over at Chris, and he smiled back.

He looked great tonight, he had on all black, a nice button up shirt, black slacks, and black dress shoes.

"I'm going to the restroom." Layla said getting up, walking away from the table, walking quickly as if she was upset with him.

"Y'all excuse me." He said heading off following right behind her.

Now it was just Chris, and I all alone at the table, he scooted a bit closer to me.

"You look great tonight." He said licking his lips.

"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I said avoiding eye contact with him.
