Few days later...

Jennifer

"I'm tired as hell." Kayla said leaning against her shopping buggy.

"Girl come on we need to keep shopping for my god baby." I cooed, even though we didn't know the gender of the baby we were looking at neutral clothes.

"Girl I still can't believe you got moved up." Kayla said looking through some clothes.

"Yeah." I smiled, thinking to myself how far I came.

"Anyways how was you trip?"

"I told you, it was great."

"Nah sis, what happened on your trip with you, and Chris?

"We just explored downtown LA." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh ok, hopefully you not sending mix signals to him."

"We just hung out, he's real cool." I said trying to hide my smile.

"Ok sis, you got a husband." She said holding up a white onesie.

"I know and I love him more than anything, I can't have a guy friend?"

"Yeah you can, but you know he has feelings for you, which can make Q uncomfortable around him."

"I get it, but he will be fine it's not like that at all." I said trying to make better of the situation.

"Alright." She said shrugging her shoulder.

I made it home, going upstairs taking all my shopping bags to my closet. I sighed in exhaustion laying on my king size bed lucky Q took the kids to there grandma's so I could get some rest for a few hours. I heard phone go off I searched through my pockets to see it was Kyle texting me.

Kyle- What you up to tonight?

Me- Doing grown people things.

Kyle- Funny, but seriously can I take you out?

I looked at the message for a few minutes.

Me- Sure, I'm available right now. Where you trying to meet?

Kyle- *sent a address* Here, I'll be waiting on you. 😉

I got up taking a shower, and got dressed I looked to see my most mature but still sexy outfit because I wanted to show him even though I'm a few years older I still looked good.
