Grimm running rampant within the city and the outside of the colosseum. Oobleck and Port, along with a few students, fend off the oncoming Gryphons while down below, Ironwood and his army, along with Qrow and Glynda, work to defend the city from the Grimm at ground level.
In various areas of the city, people of all shapes and sizes begin to ingest small insect-like Grimm. As they begin to convulse, leaking a black liquid from every orifice, concerned workers, citizens or students that are somewhat coherent in the disaster currently unfolding, stop to check on the obviously unwell people. In response to the kind-hearted gestures, the people, now growing white, bone-like protrusions all over their body as their animalistic instincts take ahold of them, their transformations complete, bury their teeth, claws and other weaponised body parts into the worried people, tearing them apart.
In a prison cell within the city, a young, disheveled man with green eyes and black hair held the insect in his hand. The police have left only one person to keep watch and evacuate the prisoner of need be. Watching the television screen in the top corner of the room, from his holding cell he cries and snots; his mucus almost entering his mouth before he wipes it off, steeling what little resolve he has left.
[Cop] "hey in there! It's gonna be fine! The hunters have got this. Hopefully.."
That waning confidence in their protectors is enough for him. His fear of what he held in his hand heavily outweighed by the fear of everything happening outside, he swallows the bug. The feeling of the small insect crawling down his throat is sickening; the feeling of his insides being morphed, liquified and modelled to form something entirely different is a most unbearable pain.
[Cop] "hm? Hey! What the hell are you doing in there!?"
Spitting out the black ooze, his tears turn an abyssal black and his eyes turn from an emerald green to a crimson red. The liquid leaking from his body is now gathering over his skin, thinning his arms but building the muscles. His nose and mouth disappear beneath the darkness while a thin stitching forms vertically along his slowly vanishing face. His eyes multiply until four glowing red eyes on either side of his head stare hungrily at the officer. Sharp white spines slowly emerge from his back and white armour with red patterns appears on his chest.
[Cop] "w-what the-!?"
The stitching in the now Grimms face stretches and splits to reveal the pure red. From its split head, a screeching sound that shakes the building is emitted and causes the cell bars to become dislodged from the walls, caving in and collapsing on top of the officer. The Grimm proceeds to walk over the bars and the officer before heading out the door, leaving the officer there struggling to escape, and wonder why it didn't kill him.
In Hunters Haven, Alistair prepares to fight to protect the city while Auburn and the other two children plan their escape, which mainly consists of Auburn leading them out of the city with Alistair protecting them for a short ways.
[Alistair] "let's go kids!"
[Auburn] "Got it old man!"
[Cyan] "What's going on out there!?"
[Auburn] "nuthin' good."Gripping hold of Millie's hand, the two scared children follow their adoptive family and rush out the door, only to be stopped in their tracks by a large bipedal Grimm with its arms, legs and pelvis encased in armour while its face is covered by a mask similar in shape to that of a goat without horns. In its left hand is a large cleaver type sword, its eyes staring at the four with a strange glee.
