Chapter 30

Liam heard the screams, that’s when he faltered. Danielle had healed him and he was fighting side by side with Niall, and Erin. Liam was fluidly changing from a lion, to a bear, an eagle, and even an elephant. He used whatever animal came to his mind to help fight. A man pinned Danielle to the ground and Liam jumped on his back, as a lion, and dug his claws in. Then another grabbed his tail and he turned into an elephant and hit him going full force. The man flew into the crevasse that Niall created. Niall found it better not to concentrate on Liam because he was blurry he was almost changing so fast. Erin was invisible and no one would see her punches coming, and as Paige had asked, she kept a force field around Harry’s unmoving body. A man tried to grab Gemma, but he wasn't worried about that because anyone who would touch Gemma would die. Liam was about to turn into a bear when he heard the screams. It was Perrie, and it sounded like she was dying. Liam turned into a falcon and flew to where the screams were coming from. Darius’ mouth was open unnaturally wide and a terrifying sound was coming from it. The sound immediately bust Liam’s eardrums and he started free falling towards the ground. Zayn was on his knees, blood coming from his ears when he saw a bird fall out of the sky and hit Darius in the shoulder. It didn't hurt him but it was enough to startle him and stop him from making that noise. Zayn fell over onto his side. Gemma killed Harry, and she was shot. Paige was in a mental match so she wouldn't be able to help. Niall, Erin, and Danielle were fighting Darius’ horde of people across the city if they were still alive. Louis was unconscious and he still remembered hearing the cracking as his bones were snapped in two by the man with strength just like Louis. He was also pretty sure that Liam was the bird that had landed on Darius. This was it. It was the end. They had tried to save humanity, and they had failed. They were stupid for trying really because they weren’t in a comic book. This was real life, and everyone he loved was dying or would die when Darius took over the world. He couldn't move the sonic boom that had come from Darius’ mouth had taken all his energy. He could feel death around the corner, and he wanted to see Perrie one more time. But, he couldn't find her. He heard her scream when Darius did but now she couldn't see her. His vision was going blurry and all he wanted to do was sleep. Perrie opened her eyes when the screaming stopped. She knew she couldn't have handled another minute of Darius’ sonic wave before her mind exploded from the pain. She looked around her. Everything that was made of metal within a ten foot radius had bent to her, as well as some other objects such as clothing that didn't contain metal. She stood up, and then she ran. “Zayn? Zayn!! Oh God, oh please answer me. Answer me damn it! Zayn! Please no. No!” “What a pity.” Perrie turned and she saw that Darius was standing over her. “Your boyfriend seems to have passes out on me, Paige is locked in a mental death match so it seems like I will have to find pleasure just from killing you.” Perrie screamed. And then she screamed again. And then everything around her started floating, including Darius. “I can bend more than metal” Perrie said, astonished. Then she threw Darius through a window. He stood up and brushed the glass from his suit. He was bleeding on his hands and face where the glass cut him. “Looks like this will be more fun than I thought.” “You’re right Darius it will be fun.”
