Chapter 8 - Friends Vs. Family

(Y/n)'s pov

I wake up, and turn over. A sweet aroma hits my nose. Where is the coming from? I smell my pillow. Is this perfume? Did Blair sleep in my bed last night? I shake the thought, and get out of bed. I take a shower, and get dressed. I should probably head to the arena. The duel should starting soon. I walk to the arena.

"There you are!" Jaden says as I walk in. "I was about to send Syrus to go get you."

"Jaden, (y/n)." Jesse said. "Make sure you two win, got it."

"Good luck guys." Syrus says.

Syrus and Jesse walk into the stands.

"I'm gonna head out there." Jaden walks out, and onto the field. Ok I can do this. Lance and my father are good, but there not unbeatable.... On second thought maybe I can't do this. I try to turn around, but someone grabs my shirt.

"(Y/n) where are you going?" Blair asks.

I refuse to look back at her. "I'm going to pack my bags, and then I'm going home."

"How are you going somewhere you already are?"

"What?"

"You're gonna win. I have no doubt in my mind." I turn around and look at her. "Besides Seto wouldn't have made this duel unless he knew you could win." Blair hugs me for a few seconds. "Now go beat your demons."

"Thanks Blair." I run out onto the field.

"Wow he actually showed I'm shocked." Lance laughed. "You know red actual suits you. To bad you won't be wearing it for much longer."

"Lance enough." Father said. "Lets just get this over with."

"Alright its time to get your game on!" Jaden yells.

"More like it's time for you two to get your lame on." Lance says as all for of us draw our hand. "I'll start." Lance sets one card face down, and summons Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack.

"Nice move lance, but I got one better." Jaden says. "I activate Polymerization to fusion my Clayman with my Bubbleman to create Elemental Hero Mudball Man in defense. I'll throw down a face down, and end my turn."

"Worthless fools." Father draws his card. "I play my spell, Pot of Greed to draw two cards. I'll summon one monster in face down defense, and end my turn."

"My draw." I draw my card. "I'll start by playing my spell Graceful Charity. I draw three cards, but then I toss two of them. Next I tribute my Cyber Angel Idaten, from my hand, to special summon my Cyber Tutubon in attack. Next I'll send Cyber Tutubon to the grave to summon my Cyber Prima in attack. Now check this out, when Prima is tribute summoned, every spell and trap card on the field is destroyed. Now I'll play polymerization to fuse my Etolie Cyber and Blade Skater, in my hand to summon out Cyber Blader In attack. I'll activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Now, since you both control a monster, Cyber Blader's effect kicks in. Her attack is double for a grand total of forty two hundred. Now Cyber Blader take Sparkman!" Lance and Father lose twenty seven hundred points, dropping them down to fifty three hundred. "Now Prima destroy Father's monster." Prima destroyed his face down monster. "I'll play one card face down. Your move, Lance."

"Decent move. To bad it won't help you." Lance draws. "Because now I play Polymerization to fuse my Avian with my burstiantrix to create my Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. Don't get to acquainted with him cause he's nit sticking around. I play Miracle Fusion. Now by removing my Sparkman, in my graveyard, and my Flame Wingman. I can summon out my Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman! Now I'll play my Graceful Charity to draw three cards, then I'll ditch my Bubbleman and my Clayman, and you know what that means. A nice six hundred point boost to my Flare Wingman. Thanks to, mom's trump cards effect, as long as we only control on monster your Cyber Blader can't be destroyed, but that doesn't mean Flare can't crush Mud ball!" Flare Wingman destroys Jaden's Mud ballman. "Now thanks to Flare's ability you lose life points equal to Mud ball's attack. So say good bye to eighteen Hundred life." Jaden and I are left with sixty two hundred life left. "That's all, for now."
