Chapter 8: Why me?

I woke up in my bed with a huge headache.
"Ow...how did I get here? What happened?" I said as I sat up holding my head I then looked at the clock to see that it was.
"8:00! I'M LATE!" I yell as I jump out of bed, I then quickly brush through my messy hair and I throw on my uniform as I grab my bag and rush out side like I was going to die, well I was if I was late to math class so I ran up the stairs and I burst into my class room.
"SORRY I'M LATE!" I yelled as everyone turned to look at me, the teacher then yells at me for interrupting class.
"Miss Sayoko! Is there a reason you interrupted class!" She yells. Every one then starts to laugh as I stood there completely embarrassed.
"Um I....I'm sorry." I said as I looked at my feet, she just scoffed.
"Get to your seat!" She said as I walked off to my seat into the way back. I fell asleep during math, it was just so boaring. The bell the rung, signalling that class was over, next class was English, and I have that class with Yukio, so at least I know him. I walk in and take my spot next to Yukio.
"Hello Yukio." I said as I smiled at him.
"Hello Misaki, how was your nap?" He asked.
"You know it was good, I woke up late and was yelled at by my teacher, but all is well." I say.
"Haha. Sorry Misaki." Yukio says as he pushes up his glasses, I stare into his blue orbs, only to notice that they looked like mine, that's strange oh well,. I then shake it off.
"Oh it's ok." I said as I smiled at him, then class started and it went by pretty fast. Then I went to history class, which I had with Rin, so again I won't be alone, I then walk in and sit next to Rin.
" Hey Rin." I said as I smiled at him.
"Hey Misaki. Do you remember anything form last night, I don't even know how I got to the dorms?" Rin asked.
"Huh, I don't know, I don't remember much either." I replied.
"Oh ok." He said.
Class then started and the whole time Rin was complaining about how hard this class was. All I could do was laugh. Then the bell rung signalling lunch time, Rin and I went our separate ways as I searched for Suguro and the others, I had my lunch in my hand as I walked looking for them, until.
"Uff." I said as I ran into someone, my lunch going all over the girl I bumped into.
"AHH!" She screamed as her friends tried to help her clean up.
"I- I'm so sorry!" I stutter as she looks at me with rage and hatred painted all over her face.
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!" She yelled. Then one of her friends spoke.
"You just made the biggest mistake in your life." She said.
"I'm sorry I wasn't looking were i was looking." I said as I stared at the girl I ran into, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, and she looked like the snobby type, as for her friends, the one who spoke to me had Brown hair and deep brown eyes, then there was a girl with red hair and green eyes, they all looked snobby and really mean. The blonde girl then looks at me with a smile on her face.
"Oh really." She said as she walked up to me, by then a circle had already formed around us, chanting or recording, she then grabbed the ice cream she was holding and threw it at my shirt, leaving a pink stain I stared at her as my eyes went wide. People then started to chant.
"FIGHT!FIGHT! FIGHT! "
I tensed up as I smiled at the girls.
"I-I really don't want to start anything." I stuttered out as I backed away some more.
"Should of thought twice before smashing your lunch into me." She said as she kept approaching me.
"Look I sa-Ahh!" I yelled as she pushed me down to the floor, everyone then started to laugh as the girls did to, I just sat in the ground. Trying top pickup my papers, but she grabbed them and crumpled them.
"Sorry it was an accident." She said as she smiled at me, she then approached me but some one stepped in between us.
"Pick on someone else would you. What the hell is wrong with you." He said, I looked up to see Suguro standing in between me and the girl.
"Suguro. " I muttered out, I then remembered something when I was little.

*4 years ago*

"Uh!" I yelled as the girls pushed me to the ground. They all began laughing as I started to cry.
"HAHA! DEMONS DON'T BELONG HERE!" One girl yelled.
"Wh-what did I ever do to you?" I asked as I sobbed. They all looked at me as one boy can with a little bottle.
"EVERYTHING, A HALF DEMON LIKE YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!" She yelled as she dripped a little of the holy water on me as I began to scream in pain and sob.
"Why me?" I asked as I cried some more. Before they could approach a tall boy with brown hair stepped in between us.
"Pick on someone else would you. What the hell is wrong with you." He said as the kids ran off.
"Mamoru." I muttered as tears ran down my cheek. He then faced me and put out his hand.
"You ok Misaki." Mamoru asked. He then helped me up as I ran and hugged him, I swung  my little arms around his waist as I cried into his stomach, he then stroked my hair as he hugged me tight.
"Don't worry Misaki, I won't let anyone hurt you again, as long as I'm alive, you will never get hurt." He said as he put me on his back.
"I love you big brother." I whispered in his ear as I drifted off to sleep. He then smiled as he squeezed my little hand.
"I love you too sis." He said as he carried me back to the shrine.
*Flash back ended*

I was on the floor as Suguro told the girls off, they then left, and so did everyone else.
"Bithches." He mumbled as they walked away he than held his hand out, I grabbed it.
"Are you o-" he started but he stopped when I hugged him, I threw my arms around his waist as I buried my face into his chest, he then wrapped his hands around me back and pulled me in more.
"Thank you." I whispered. He then laughed a bit and put his chin on my head.
"Your welcome." He said.
"Woah. Bon's getting some!" Some one yelled, I took my face out of his chest and turned to see Shima, Koneko, Rin and Sheimi walking up to us. Suguro the blushed as I pulled away, smiling at my friends. Sheimi then walked up to me and looked at my shirt she the gasped.
" Misaki what happened." Sheimi asked as a worried expression formed on her face.
" This idiot let herself get pushed around again. " Suguro said.
"Really!?" Sheimi said.
" That's awful." Koneko said.
"Who would hurt a pretty girl like Misaki." Shima said.
"WHAT! WHO THE HELL DID IT! WHERE ARE THEY!" Rin yelled as he looked around.
" Relax, I already took care of it." Suguro said.
"You did?" Rin yelled.
" OF COURSE I DID YOU IDIOT! WHAT WAS I GOING TO DO, SIT AROUND AND LET HER GET PUSHED AROUND!" Suguro yelled, as he and Rin began another fight.
"Come on Misaki, let's get you cleaned up. " Sheimi said as she grabbed my hand and dragged me to the bathroom. She than handed me an extra shirt I slipped it on as I fixed my hair,
"So do you have a crush on Suguro? " Sheimi asked. My face was then flushed with red.
"WHAT! No! We're just friends." I said as I puffed my cheeks a nd turned away, Sheimi then started to giggle.
" Ok, I was just wondering. " Sheimi said.

*Suguro's p.o.v*

I was arguing with Rin, when Koneko asked me a question.
"So Bon, do you have a crush on Sayoko?" He asked. Rin then looked at me.
" Well do you. I mean your sure act like you do." Rin said.
" We won't judge." Shima said, my face was then flushed form embarrassment.
" WHAT!NO! WE'RE JUST FRIENDS! " I yell as I look away from them and scoff.
" Jeez, we were just asking." Rin said.
"Well stop asking!" I yelled.
"Man no wonder you'll never get a girlfriend, your so rude." Rin said.
"WHAT!" I said as we started to argue again.

*Misaki's p.o.v*

After the whole incident, I was told that Rin and I got drunk last night, and that Suguro carried me to room last night. My face blushed immediately of the thought of Suguro carrying me, I then get dressed for bed and slip in under the covers, I then slowly drift off to sleep.
Why me? Why am I always getting saved? Why do I have to lie about who I am? If I tell them who I am will they still be my friend? I will never know, unless they found out, which will never happen, or would it?
