Chapter 12: Losing Him

I finally approach the door of my classroom, I hesitate before I open the door, I can't do this. Wait yes you can, just push the door open, what's the worst that could happen. I then slowly push open the door, to see Rin yelling at Suguro.
"YOU CAN TRUST ME! I just need to show you." Rin said, at that moment everyone looked at me. Suguro was about to speak, but Yukio walked in.
"That's enough." He says, he then looks at me and smiles.
"It's good to see that your back Sayoko." Yukio says. I then gave him a small smile, and nod.
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Okumura and Sayoko come with me." Yukio said.
"Why?" Rin asked.
"Seperat training, now since you weren't here, Sayoko, if you don't pass the exwire exam.....you will be executed by the Vatican's order." Yukio says, I then gulp as my eyes go large.
"Executed." I say.
"Yes, now let's go." Yukio says, as he motions for us to follow, I then glance back to lock gazes with Suguro, all he did was glare at me before looking away, I then sigh as I catch up to Rin and Yukio, we then come to a room, where there are cages.
We walk in as Yukio tells us to wait.
"So how are we going to train?" I asked.
Rin then stepped into the cage, it automatically turned on. And asked what mode he wanted.
"Hard." Rin said, as the machine shot a bunch if little balls at him, none of which he hit, he got beat up by the balls before slowly coming out, at that moment Shura walked in without a short purple kimono on, and sandels.
"What are you wearing?" Rin asked, as he stared at her, Shura ignored his question and set the bag that she was holding down and pulled our six candles.
"Sit." She said, we both sit down as she set three candles down in front of us.
"What's this about?" Rin asked.
"It's your training." She said.
"So our training is candles?" I asked.
"You need to control your flames, this will help you, now the candles on the side represent the people you care about, so your goal is to light them." She explained.
"WHAT! But I want to do real training." Rin said.
"Just shut up and get to work." She said.
"Easy, enough, it's just lighting two candles, how hard could it be." I say, as I put my hands out to light the two candles, but instead I light all three,
"Ugh!" Rin yelled. At that moment Shura and Yukio were going at it in the cage, I watched in awe as the moved so swiftly.
"It's been awhile since we've done this, huh." Shura said, Yukio didn't respond, and the two started to argue. I turned to see that Rin was pretty pissed off about not being able to light the right candles.
"SHIT!" He yelled as his flames covered Shura and Yukio.
"Huh?!" Yukio said.
"What's going on!?" Shura yelled as their clothes burned off, well except for their underwear, and there stood Yukon in nothing but his boxers, and Shura holding her breast.
"Whoops sorry. But hey look, your clothes burned up, but not your underwear or skin! That proves I can control my power." Rin said.
"Like hell you can!" Yukio said, as he handed Shura his jacket, and walked off to get clothes.
"Rin, that wasn't nice." I said, Rin pouted.
" I said I was sorry." He mumbled. Shura then walked up to me and placed her hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, how you holding up." Shura asked. I smiled at her.
"Fine." I said, I could tell that she knew I was lying.
"LIKE HELL YOU ARE! First you find out that your the daughter of Statan, then you find out that your related to that moron, and to top it all off you were gone for two days!" She said.
"HEY! I'M NOT A MORON!" Rin yelled.
"I....just already took it all in." I said as I gave Shura a small smile.
"Whatever you say kid." She says as she walks away. Rin then throws his arm over my shoulder.
"Now I know why you looked like us. It's because you were our sister." He says with a big smile.
" Yeah. " I say as I gave him a big warm smile. We then go back to our dorm to rest.
*next day*
Rin and I decided to go to school early, so we could train, we sat in the the halls, as we tried to light the candles.
"Ugh, who know this would be so hard." I said as all three candles lite on fire.
"I know." Rin said.
All of the sudden we heard foot steps, we looked up to see Kamiki walking up to us.
" Why are you guys here so early?" She asked.
"Were training." Rin said, she then saw all of the melted candles.
"I can see that's going well." She said.
"Definitely." I said as I smiled at here.
"Wait, so your not afraid of us?" I asked.
"Why would I, you might not know this, but there are a lot of exorcist that have demon heritage, it's just the fact that you two are the spawns of Satan." She says.
We then hear a noise and we look back to see black mist with deep red eyes.
"What is that!?" Kamiki said.
"I don't know." Rin said, Kamiki then summoned her familiers as Rin and I pulled out our swords, the demon then laughed as it charged at us, throwing me through the door, causing me to break the table, Yukio then came in and shoot the demon driving it away, we then start to clean up the mess, when everyone else walked in.
"What happen!" Shima asked, but no one replied.
" Wait, you guys aren't working?" Kamiki asked.
" Didn't you guys get the message?" Suguro asked.
" Huh." We all said as we room out our phones to see a message saying that we had no work today.
"That's convenient." I said as I put my phone away. I smiled at Koneko, but he looked away. My smile slowly faded away as sadness filled my eyes.
"I'm....gonna go." I said as I walked past the boys
I then just walked around the whole school, just thinking to myself, I then heard a scream down the hall, I ran when I saw Rin surrounded by blue flames and Koneko on the ground, with Suguro, Shima and Yukio running twords them.
"What's going on." Yukio said.
"I don't know it's Okumura, he's gone crazy!" Koneko said, I then ran up to Rin and pulled his arm.
"RIN! What are you doing?!" I yelled as I yanked his arm.
"Get away from him." Rin said.
"Rin what are you doing." Yukio said.
"Misaki don't you see it." Rin said as he pointed towards Koneko, and on his shoulders was a demon.
"Koneko back away." I said. The demon then started to laugh.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Rin yelled as he shot his blue flames at Koneko.
"WAIT RIN!" I yelled. Suguro then pushed Koneko to the ground only getting his shirt a little burnt. Yukio then came up to Rin.
"Rin, what the hell." Yukio said.
"It's the demon." Rin said as he pointed to the demon that was no longer there.
"Where'd it go!?" Rin said, Suguro than got up and pushed Yukio out of the way and punched Rin.
"RIN!" I yelled. I then burst into flames.
"WHAT THE HELL!" I yelled as I shoved Suguro, burning him, I then helped Rin up.
"Misaki calm down." Yukio said.
"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU THAT IF YOU HURT ONE OF MY FRIENDS THAT I'D KILL YOU!" Suguro yelled. He then stared at me, and at the burn Mark that I left on his arm.
"Same goes for you Sayoko!" He said, by then more flames engulfed my body, as tears streamed down my face.
"I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND!" I cried out.
"Well you thought wrong." He said, it felt like a thousand knives pricing my heart. As more tears streamed down my face.
"IT'S NOT OUR FAULT THAT WERE THE SPAWNS OF SATAN! IF YOU WERE MY FRIEND THEN YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND, BUT I GUESS I'LL THINK TWICE BEFORE TRUSTING PEOPLE LIKE YOU AGAIN!" I yell as I ran off down the hall, leaving every one in shock.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!" Rin yelled as he chased after me.
I sat on the edge off the roof swinging my legs over, I then here the door open, I turn to see Rin walk up and sit besides me.
"Hey." He said, I sat there as the wind blew my hair around my face. I stared out into the open sky, as my blue eyes searched for birds, but there were none in sight.
"Yeah." I say
"Misaki, if there's something bothering you, you can tell me, I know what Suguro said back there was messed up, but we're family, so you can tell me anything." Rin said as he gave me a reassuring smile. I take another look as the sun slowly sets.
"I'm fine." I say, all of the sudden black mist surrounds us and we see the demon from earlier, but it had Koneko, it possessed Koneko. The demon then kicks me off the roof, as I fell, hitting the ground, knocking the wind out of me.
"MISAKI!" Rin yelled. I look up to see Yukio, Suguro and Shima running in my direction.
"Hold on Misaki, we're coming!" Yukio said, but the demon flew down and created a wind barrier around us, he then grabbed my hair and lifted my face up.
"AHH!" I scream, as he smashes my face into the ground over and over again.
"MISAKI!NO!" Rin yelled as he jumped down.
"One move, and I end her right here." He says.
"You wouldn't do that Koneko!" Suguro yelled.
"Oh really, lets test that." He says as he picks me up by the throat and puts me against the wind barrier, as it rips the back of my shirt, I cough out blood as I scream in pain.
"AHHH!" I yelled.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING KONEKO." Suguro yelled.
"I'm protecting you! Once their gone, well have nothing to fear!" Koneko yells.
"No one asked you to!" Suguro yelled.
"Ko-Koneko, don't do it....th-this demon i-is not your allie, yo-your friends are....so please sn-snap out of it!" I say, Koneko then opens his eyes to see that he is holding me by the throat, as blood trickles out of my mouth.
"Misaki." He whispers, I give him a small smile, the demon then takes control, and the demon smiles.
"FOOLISH GIRL!" He yells as he lets go of my throat, as I fell, but Rin caught me in time and set me down, the last thing I saw was darkness filling my eyes as I passed out on the ground from lack of air and exhaustion.
