Since I've been back I haven't really spoken to anyone, call it what you want but I was still pretty upset about everything , I mean Lee did try to reach out and she claimed she had this big news to tell me that she just couldn't tell me over the phone , I mean why not just send it in a letter since that's everyone's favorite way of communicating with me. I had just pulled up to my house from work , I tossed my bags on the couch and went to check my voicemails , Sin has given it a rest it's been 2 weeks since her last attempt at speaking to me , I just couldn't deal with her yet. " You have 5 voicemails , First Message : Hey Bobbie it's Lee you need to call me as soon as possible " next ! " Sin this is BJ I tried calling your cell phone but you didn't answer just checking on you call me back " I'll call him once I'm settled in , I started taking my clothes off to prepare myself dinner " Message 3 : Robin please call me it's an emergency it's Sin please call " wonder if this is Lee's way of getting me to speak to Sin , I grabbed the chicken breast out the fridge and some vegetables " Message 4: Robin it's BJ again I just heard what happen to Sin call me ASAP please ! " what the hell is going on , I put the stuff on the counter and walked over to my bag to retrieve my phone out my purse. I had it off all day it was a lot going on a lot work and I went out after so I never bothered turning it back on " Message 4 : Robin ... Robin please " Lee sounded as though she was crying " Please just answer the phone or call someone back it's really bad " Shit ! As soon as my phone powered up I called Lee , it rang and rang and went to voicemail , what the fuck ! I called again and the same thing so I called Sins phone and her phone was going straight to voicemail , I started to panic and the only other person I could call was BJ " Hello " " Oh my god Robin where the hell have you been all day !? Everyone has been calling you off the hook ! " BJ yelled panically through the phone " BJ I forgot my phone was off what the hell is going on ? " " It's Sin , Robin and it's bad get down to the hospital as fast as you can I'm on my way out there " " BJ bu... " he interrupted me " Robin just go ! " he hung up the phone , tears started to form in my eyes , what the hell ? Oh my god ! I dropped everything grabbed my sweat pants and ran out the door to my car. I was doing 80 on the highway on my way to the hospital , I continued to call Lee's phone but still no answer. " Dammit ! " I banged on the steering wheel , when I finally pulled up I hopped out the car and ran inside to the front desk " Excuse me ! Excuse me can someone please help me ?! " " Yes ma'am , how may I help you ? " " Nurse Fisher ! Selena Fisher !? " " Umm yes just let me page her for you " I couldn't wait for no damn page " Do you know what room a patient named Madison Allison Cooper is in ? " " ummm yes are you family ?! " " Look bitch I don't have time just give me the goddamn room " I became irate and banged on the desk " ma'am if you don't calm down I'm gonna have to have security escort you out " " I'm not going no damn where ! You can bring S.W.A.T in the motherfucker if you want ! " she motioned for the big security to come over , he started walking towards me " I swear if you touch me I will have your motherfucking job mr rent-a-cop " the nurse and security were busy trying to calm down when Selena finally entered " I got this Andrew , sorry " her eyes were red and puffy , she look externally tired and worn out " Please no ... please " I said as I started to break down " Come on Bobbie come sit " " No Lee please just tell me , what happened to her ? " Selena tried to walk me to the seats but I felt myself about to fall " Hey can you help me ? " she asked another nurse " Here sit " I started crying harder " what did I do ? I should have just spoke to her , it's too late Lee it's too late " I began to sob uncontrollably " Shhhh Bobbie , Shhhhh " she stroked my head , I didn't even notice Selenas belly " we can go see her if you want " I looked up " She's alive ? " " Yes , but she's not doing really well " " Can we please go " I begged. We got up and headed to the elevator, I swear it seemed like the longest ride of my life. Once we were off we walked down the hall until we stopped " Robin she may not look the same she's been throwing up and stuff , the chemo has really taken a toll on her , I wiped my eyes and nodded my head as we entered the room. I couldn't believe my eyes , there she was so pale so sickly , I couldn't control the tears forming " ddd..ddont cry " her crackly voice said to me " Oh my god Madison , oh my god " I went to the side of her bed and just broke down , her fragile hand stroked my head " shhh.. it's okay , I'm fine " " No , no you're not and I've been such a bitch " " I should have told you the proper way " " no please it's okay I was wrong " " Hey you stop that " Lee said " let the girl take the blame " Sin attempted to chuckle " What happened ? " I sat up and wiped my eyes " Well she was doing perfectly fine with the last meds we gave her but then she started feeling sick so I recommended she come home so we could run some test just to make sure everything was okay because the meds tend to have side effects" Lee began to explain as I held Sins hand " Well when she got here she didn't look so good so after the doctor ran a few test he notice that the cancer had spread and was no longer reacting to the meds , we put her back on chemo and gave her the option of removing some of the tumors " " and ? " I asked , Lee looked at Sin and then looked at me " Well ... she refused she wants to give the chemo another go to see if they can shrink some of the ones the have grown and the new ones , I recommended to Sin that she allows him to remove the new tumors before they get bigger and spread to the point where it's inoperable " I looked at Sin " is that what you want baby ? " she nodded her head yes " Sin please rethink this " Lee said " I believe he can get rid of them , you've been cancer free before you still got some fight in you " a tear rolled down Sins face and I wiped it away " Sin I think you should listen to Lee , she's been here with you through this fight and I think if anyone knows what you're capable of it's her " I couldn't be mad at my best friends anymore I needed to be supportive, Lee smiled at me and mouth thank you, I nodded my head " I'm gonna give you guys some privacy I'll be here if you need me " she said and left the room. I couldn't believe we were here , I couldn't believe she was here. Never would I have ever thought Sin was sick she was so healthy and she was doing a pretty good job at keeping this a secret " I'm not mad at you , I love you and I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you Sin , I'm so sorry for being stubborn and stupid I should have just listened to you , I hate to see you like this and I hate to know that I wasn't there for you " I started to cry again , Sin shook her head no " Don't cry " she whispered " It's not your fault " I laid down next to her and just held her hand , I loved Sin way to much to loose her we were gonna fight this.
I didn't even notice we fell asleep , I had gotten up to use he bathroom and Lee was coming in to check us " How is she ? " she whispered " Honestly Lee I don't know " we exited the room to let her sleep so we could talk " I'm so sorry Lee and thank you so much for being there for her I don't know what I would have done if it was too late " I said and hugged her " What are best friends for , she wanted to tell you Bobbie she really did but she didn't want you to feel sorry for her and she didn't want you to treat her like she was sick " " I wouldn't do that " Lee looked at me " Now you know you wouldn't have let that girl out of your sight " Lee was absolutely right , I would have moved Sin in and monitored her " Congratulations by the way " I said rubbing her stomach " This is the big news that I had to tell you , we're having a baby " she said glowing , I was so happy for my friend " I'm so happy for you and Lemar " " Thank you and I'm so happy that you're back because lord know I was driving him crazy and he's been asking me where he hell you were " I laughed " We also got engaged " she said showing me her ring " Oh my gosh girl ! Your guys ! Oh my gosh ! " " Yes I was so surprised I couldn't stop crying, I didn't know how he was going to react when I told him and 2 weeks later he proposed to me at the pier " I was so happy everything was working out for Lee she definitely deserves it she loved Lemar and she would be a great mother. " Lee do you think she's gonna be okay ? " I asked teary eyed " She's a fighter Sin , trust me she got through it the first time she will get through it this time " I prayed that Lee was right about this , how could I have every missed this ? I never seen Sin take any pill besides her vitamins for the gym , I never really seen her sick sick either. I mean there was a point in time where I hadn't seen Sin in a whole year but she had went away on a business trip and we weren't seeing eye to eye seeing as how I had a new relationship. " You can stay here with her Robin , I'm sure she would love to see you when she wakes up" Lee was right I definitely wasn't going anywhere, I rubbed my best friends belly and talked about all the outcomes out her pregnancy I was really happy for her.
