Time doesn't pass here. Everything is just so fast that time slows down. I don't remember how long I've been here.
Days. . . Weeks. . . Months. . . I can't tell.
I've been trapped here for a while, but it's not all that bad. The speed force tries to accommodate to my needs, mainly just changing bodies every other day.
The only person that the speed force hasn't taken the form of is her. Iris.
That may have been because the one time that the speed force had taken her form, I had broken down. I can defeat villains and evil speedsters, even the darkest parts of myself, and yet I can't stand the loneliness.
"Barry," I jump at the sound of my name, forgetting momentarily that the speed force can be anywhere it pleases.
"What?" I looked up, finding the face of my mother.
"We have some unwelcome guests racing around here, do you think you can catch them?" My mother's voice asked.
I nodded before standing up, "Yeah, I think I can find them, where are they?"
"Where else would they be?They're in the Central City area of the speed force."
I sped off without a second thought. This was my penance- I had to lock up the speedsters that had done some miscalculations or had purposely landed themselves here.
It was better than being trapped with my worst memories, although at first I was certain that was where I'd end up.The speed force was pretty lenient as long as I actually did the job, most of the time a speedster from another Earth had just ran fast enough to make a portal here and needed help getting back.
I hadn't had to face any unwelcome faces for a while.
I was up for the challenge.Buildings towered overhead, as I raced to find the other speedsters. If they were evil- as very few were- I just had to lock them in the trap that Tracy had made, only until the speed force took care of them. The speed force usually took the worst of the speedsters' powers before opening a portal back to said evil speedster's Earth.
As I was running, I saw a streak of yellow lightning, and a streak of red-orange racing next to it. I bypassed the strangers, and stopped in front of them.
"Going somewhere?"
The two quickly stopped, they simply looked lost. They had to have known this was the speed force, and yet the two strangers looked as confused as a pair of tourists. The girl had dirty blonde hair and green eyes, and she wore a suit similar to Jesse's, but the colors were purple and blue.
"Where am I?" The girl asked, glancing around at the scenery.
"J, I think we ran into the speed force." Her partner said. He was shorter than me, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. His suit was similar to what mine was, but his colors were green and white.
"Well, if you would have been more careful, then we wouldn't be here would we?" The girl snapped, rolling her eyes.
"If you hadn't been so damn arrogant-" The boy started, glaring at 'J'.
I decided it was time to intervene.
"Hey," I held my hands up in surrender, "why don't we just calmly talk this out and I can help you two get home?"
