Night - 10:00 - Mark King

I almost had everything I needed. I've been in Fox River for the past month. My money ensured that I became the King of this prison. If someone has a problem with anyone in here they have to ask me for permission. Everything runs through me, contraband, money, and weapons. Some of the guards are under my thumb, I guess when you get paid minimum wage to watch a punch of criminals a little extra cash goes a long way. It's not like it matters to me anyways. I'll be out of here soon. I have a plan to get out of here. I just need to find the right people to help me. Logan does the dirty work but it's not like I'm afraid to get my hands dirty. One of the guards, Xavier, makes sure all of my imports and exports make it through the prison undetected. He is one of the key people to getting me out of this hell hole. I shouldn't have got caught but damn my brother for having a death wish. I had a plan for him and our father but now I'm stuck in here. Doesn't affect my end game though, I will get back to making the serum and controlling the family company that is rightfully mine. I hear the footsteps of one of the guards walking towards my cell and I get near the door. He slips a newspaper into my hands and continues to walk and check the cells incase of any escapees. I open the newspaper and see the frontpage and I can't believe my eyes. They gave her the company! That company is family owned! She has no right to even step foot inside the building let alone run it. I am furious. I slam my fist into the wall and wake up my cell mate, Kaleb O'Conner, a bank robber who got away with a string of robberies in Joliet before getting caught. He's been in here for about two years so far. He'll be a crucial part in my escape. "Boss, what are you doing?"

"I need you to put a hit out on someone. They're trying to steal what belongs to me. Get a message to Logan and tell him there's a million on anyone who can kill Jax Dean."

"Right now boss?"

"Yes right now, the sooner the better."

He gets a piece of paper and starts writing my message onto it and ties a string to it and throws it in front of the cell next to us. It will eventually get to Logan and soon Jax will be dead. Kaleb goes back to bed and I do the same, going on the top bunk I go to bed.

6:30 - Morning

I wake up to the loud speaker sounding for us to get ready for roll call. Everyone walks out and stands on the painted line. They call each of our names and check us off on the clipboard. Once they finish roll call they give us an hour to talk and walk around before breakfast. This gives me adequate time to meet up with some of the cellmates and get some information. I tell Kaleb to set up some trades with the C.O that's on my payroll. There's not much the official can do for me but it's enough to make it easier to get out of this hellhole. I get to Bruces cell so I can get time dates for the guards schedules, that'll make it so I can time my escape perfectly. The problem with this is they change the schedule every few days, so I make sure that I constantly keep updated. What I need next is to make sure I acquire the codes to the locked doors to the basement of the hospital ward. I can't get those codes from any of the officers because they are required to change the codes as well. That means I'll have to get help from one of my hackers outside of the prison and get them to delay the code change. There's more steps to get my freedom back and make sure I get my revenge. The bell goes off so we know it's time for breakfast. The worst part about prison by far is the food. I use to dine on expensive palettes from around the world. Now, I'm reduced to this shit they call food. I get in line and grab my tray and end up behind Logan.
"Boss, the deal is set. Here's the codes you asked for also." He slips me a paper as he slid his tray down.
"Did you get the little issue with Jax handled?"
"Yes, we already have offers from multiple people from around the world. She's good as dead, once that happens they'll have to give the company to the board members."
"That's a story for another time."
We get done with getting our food and head to a table. Kaleb has already sat down with some of the others that are in on my escape plan, of course they won't live past the wall when we get out. A nice shank in the neck will keep them from talking when they get caught. I don't need anyone being a snitch to my plans.
"Boss what's the plan for tonight? We going or not?"
"I have the codes now, these are good for the day. I looked at the schedule for the guards and from what it looks like, two of the guards have cut shifts which means the window is open for tonight but we still need the key to the supply closet to start a fire to distract long enough for us to slip out unnoticed for a few minutes. That gives us until roll call before they notice we'll gone. That's 30 minutes of time we have to get out and as far a way as possible from this place."
Everyone nods their head, this has taken a month of planning and I can almost taste freedom. Breakfast ends and we head to the yard for morning duty. It's snowing but you can hardly tell that the worst storm Chicago has ever seen even happened a month ago. My eyes drift along side all the inmates walking around, playing basket ball, or doing nothing. I walk past some guys hitting the iron, making sure I have my shank ready just in case someone wants to try me. I get to the spot of the gate that is a complete blind spot from all the cameras as I wait for one of the C.O to walk perimeter. Once they get to the spot I drop some money and he picks it up. In return he drops a key, the last piece to getting out. I pick it up and look around to make sure no one notices. Some inmates are getting loud with each other, a fight is soon to follow. As if on cue, a shiv is pulled out and one last insult yelled before they get stabbed. I wouldn't have cared much for it but before the alarms started blaring and the C.Os start demanding everyone to get in their knees, the man who was stabbed was Kaleb. This is problematic and makes the escape more difficult. The officers get some control over the situation as they yell for the inmate to drop the weapon and put his hands in the air. Once they handle that, they try to help Kaleb by putting pressure on the wound in his neck. As I watch them call for the doctor, Kaleb's body is already covered in blood. All the other inmates watch as they carry him out of the yard and into the infirmary. But I can already tell, he's gone. The alarms turn off and the loud speaker tells us to go back to the cell block and a few C.O's lead us in. They take the guy that stabbed Kaleb into a different part of the prison, most likely to solitary confinement. We get back to our cells and they put us into lockdown. This is ruining my plans but hopefully I can salvage it if I can get to Logan. He notices me at his cell and waves me over and mouths the words 'We need to talk' I walk over to him and he looks around before speaking.
"Okay, with Kaleb gone this shit just got a whole lot fucking harder."

"You don't say, this still could be done. Take over his job, you know how to start a fire right? You'll just need to rush. I also have the key to the supply closet, so here." I hand him the key and he hides it into his sleeve.
"What about the other guys, they're gonna want to know if the plans change."
"I don't care, it won't change what'll happen to them once we get out. You just be ready to drop them."

"Understood boss, when do we start?"

Just then the loud speaker sounds and the warden announces that the lockdown has been released and we are free to go do our daily jobs. We're free to continue our escape. This is it. This is the time.

"We start right now."
