Chapter 24: Is This Real.....

The heart monitor started going crazy scaring both Iori and Monica, soon they were ushered out of the room as the doctor and nurses rushed in

"What....what's happening?"

3rd Persons POV:
Monica stood there in cased in Iori's arms they were both scared and trying not to cry more than they had already did but that was proving difficult for them.

"Iori... What's happening? Please tell me Kiera's going to be alright" Monica whispered her voice low and panicked, Iori pulled her closer to him stroking her hair, he was finding it hard to remain calm when he wanted to break down himself.

"I don't know what's happening Mona but Kiera will be fine I just know she will she has to... She wouldn't leave us and she won't leave Kota. I know it" he muttered squeezing her small body gently.

Just then the door burst open revealing one of the nurses she ran over to the two frantic,

"Where is Kota Igarashi, he needs to be here now" she said as calmly as she could muster, Iori and Monica stared at her worried, "there is no time to explain please just bring him here" the nurse then said before disappearing back into the room, Monica quickly ran out of the hospital leaving Iori there as she ran back to the house.

"Where's Kota!" Monica shouted as she burst through the door, Kyohei looked to her as he came out of the kitchen,

"in his room still" he said sadly as he sat down on the couch and started eating his meal. Monica ran upstairs and banged on his door begging him to come out but Kota never answered. She sighed starting to get annoyed his stubbornness she quickly took her hair clips out and started to pick the lock of his room.

"Kota get out of bed right now! Your coming to the hospital with me and your going in to see Kiera she needs you and your laying in here moping no excuses this time" Monica growled as she tore the covers off of him. Kota looked up warily he was tiered he wanted to argue back but the look in Mona's eyes was fierce and made him nod.

Kota changed into fresh clothes and roughly fixed his hair before getting dragged out the house and down the street by Monica who was frantically pulling him by the arm towards the hospital, once inside they ran to Kiera's room, Monica gave Kota a gentle push on the back towards the door. Kota took a deep breath before walking into the room, closing the door behind him to see the doctor and nurses staring at the unconscious Kiera.

''Kota come over here quickly I think.... I think something must have reacted with her when your friend out there mentioned your name, the monitor is calm now but it was going crazy a little bit ago. Then I swore I saw her move the slightest bit but I'm not sure'' the doctor said, Kota's eyes widened a little as he walked over to Kiera, he hated seeing her this way but he knew that this had to be done after all he had been scared to go and see her for a full 3 months.

''Kiera, its me Kota... I'm sorry I've not been here to see you, I was afraid to see you in a sickly state but I now know that I was being silly, please baby open your eyes for me, even a little'' Kota said quietly as he took her hand gently into his own and gave it a small squeeze as he spoke to her,

''...ta...'' a small almost inaudible voice said, Kota's heart beat a little faster hoping that it had come from Kiera ''Ko....ta'' the voice said again only it was the smallest bit louder than the first time, Kota's eyes widened as he squeezed her hand a little tighter,

''yeah, Kota... I'm right here next to you. I'm not going anywhere please look at me'' Kota said again leaning in a little closer to Kiera's face,

''Kota......your....'' the words that were formed this time were clear as Kiera's eyes scrunched up and her head moved around slowly on the pillow. The nurses had began crying in joy and the doctor too was having a hard time holding back his tears, he had seen some amazing miracles in his life as a doctor esspecially with Kiera but none comes close to this. ''Your such an idiot you know that?.... Why would you be scared to visit your own wife'' Kiera said this time as she opened her eyes and squeezing Kota's hand back, her eyes soft as she looked into her lovers chestnut brown eyes.

''Kiera!'' Kota shouted as he instantly flung his arms around her and hugging her as close to her as he could get, his tears started falling although this time they were tears of the utmost joy, he had never been so happy or relieved in his life. He was sick of feeling pathetic and moping this time he really would keep her safe with everything he had. The doors opened as the doctor ushered the other two in who had been startled by Kota's sudden shout, but when they saw the two hugging tightly they just smiled in relief and hugged one another tightly.

''Stop worrying about me Kota... I.... When I couldn't hear your voice I got scared that you had left me thinking that I was good as dead. I thought if I couldn't hear you saying that you would stay by me... thinking that I was no longer needed then I would be better off dead. But when Iori said you were a mess and worried for me I got worried thinking that you weren't taking care of yourself properly because of me'' Kiera said as she cupped her lovers cheek softly in her hand,

''I would never give up on you I'm sorry I didn't come to see you sooner, your right I really have been an idiot'' Kota laughed trough his tears as he held Kiera's face, he leaned down and softly pressed their lips together in a soft kiss. Both melted instantly, this was the first time in three moths that they had held, kissed and seen one another and they couldn't be more happy or relieved.

That night Kota refused to go home Kiera was strong enough to be discharged the next day and he wasn't going to leave her here another night. Of course when the nurse wanted to check something with Kiera he was told to wait outside which he was reluctant before agreeing to it, knowing that nothing would happen to her in the safety of the hospital's walls, Monica and Iori hand gone home and told everyone else the great news hey were all stoked to be able to see Kiera again and this time they would ensure her safety.
