Chapter 10: Kiera's Story

Word of warning this is going to be a really short chapter compared to the others since I just want to do her story here. The chapter after will be more dramatic so look forward to that.

Kiera's POV:
I sat in silence staring at my hands as Kota walked into the room, I hadn't noticed him placing a bowl of food and a cup of hot coco in front on me on a little fold out table because I was so wrapped up in what Takashi had told me. I had fallen in love with Kota and it actually felt really good to admit to myself, I guess I was fighting with my emotions for so long that I didn't realise it until Takashi had pointed it out to me, I didn't even notice when it hit me plain in the face.

"You should probably eat and drink up before they get cold we can talk afterwards" Kota's voice said snapping me out of my thoughts I nodded

"alright, thank you" I said keeping my eyes on the bowl as I picked up my fork and began to eat. I smiled as I ate the food, it tasted really good and he made it just for me... that made me happy too. Once I had finished eating Kota moved the table and dishes to one side then sat back down facing me his face more serious yet still holding the care and softness to it.

"Okay now please tell me what happened tonight... Tell me how you got hurt" Kota said I took a breath but nodded as I turned to face him. I stared into his chocolate brown eyes with a serious look on my face,

"It started after I finished my recording, as you know my father got held up and was unable to come and bring me back here. I told him I would walk since Rikudoh productions isn't far. After that I left and started walking" I started, the whole time I looked right at Kota I wasn't going to look away when this was serious.

"Eventually I started feeling paranoid as if someone was watching me I turned around and no one was there. After that I felt it again but that time I felt like I was being followed too since I could hear footsteps but once again no one was there when I turned around" I said I shivered slightly when I remembered walking past that alleyway, my hand instinctively reached for my shoulder as I gripped it and closed my eyes briefly.

"Take your time, I'm listening" Kota said I nodded and took a few breaths, I felt him remove my hand from my shoulder and encase it between the both of his making me open my eyes again,

"I walked past an alleyway and got dragged in, he pinned me to the wall brandishing a blade. He told me that he had to kill me or his 'master' would punish him. He was an assassin sent by my mother" I spat as I clenched my fists, Kota's hands tightened around the hand that he was holding making me look up to him.

He was silent, not tearing his eyes away from mines. My heart beat started to speed up as I stared into his chocolate brown eyes, I felt myself leaning forwards until my lips brushed against his. I saw his eyes widen slightly, that was enough to snap me out of my trance I pulled back my own eyes wide,

"I....I'm sorry I wasn't thinking I.......I have to go" I shouted before pulling away from him and running out of his room, I quickly ran downstairs and out into the garden closing the door behind me. I breathed a sigh of relief and walked across the garden to the recording room to which I saw Takashi sitting at the keyboard,

I sighed and walked over to the couch collapsing onto it and rubbing my temples, Takashi turned around seemingly hearing me he stopped what he was doing and walked over sitting next to me on the couch.

"What's up Kiera?" Takashi asked placing his hand on my leg, I sighed and leaned forward placing my hands over my face I felt his grip tighten a little on my leg I looked up to him

''I.... I think I messed up royally Taka, after I finished telling him about what happened on my way home tonight we sat there just looking at him then I... I kinda leaned in and kissed him, it wasn't long but his eyes widened and he looked shocked so I pulled back and ran out and down here. Ugh I feel so stupid, what do I do Taka?'' I said shaking my head he didn't say anything but I could feel his arms wrap around me as he pulled me into a hug, ''T... Taka?'' I asked surprised

''its alright Kiera, I understand why you might think that you screwed up but I can assure you that you didn't. I'm sure he was just surprised but I don't think he hated it and I'm sure you wouldn't have pushed you away if you had stayed put. Besides we all have a week's holiday starting tomorrow so you can find a way to relax, just think of what you want to do'' Takashi said, I felt myself tear up slightly, I decided to let him hold me as I leaned into his hug, he really was like the older brother that I never had.
