As soon as we left the house and arrived at the airport things started to go wrong. As we pulled into the parking lot, three mysterious black vans with tinted windows started to copy our every move. "Lane," my mother says nervously, "I think we have a tail."

My father responds with clenched teeth, "Carissa I am not blind."

I stare wide eyed out the back window with a terrorized look that is plainly written across my face. Aris pulls out a small knife made of Loralite-the blue crystal found at the core of Lorien- and hands it to me. I look down in awe.

"Hopefully you won't have to use it but the knife is undetectable by X-ray so keep it on you at all times. Orthrus and I will stay with you while your parents will deal with the Mogadorians." Aris starts loading my chest with the majority of our things into a large backpack. The rest goes into a smaller one probably meant for me.

"Damn it!" my father exclaims, "We're going to have to split up. We can't risk your safety. Your mother and I will continue on to Russia while you move to Canada."

Knowing this might be the last time I see my parents, I lean forward and give them both a quick kiss each. "I love you!"

"We love you too!" they say in unison. My father slams on the brakes and the doors are thrown open in the other vans as we jump out. A Mogadorian jumps out and aims his blaster at the easiest target. That easiest target just happens to be me. I dive forward and in the last second twist my body so I somersault on my side, instead of the bag. As soon as I'm up onto my feet I break into a full out sprint with Orthrus and Aris on my heels. I sneak a quick glance over my shoulder to see pure green energy shoot out of my mother's hands. The beams solidify into huge fists and pick up the nearest van and throw it at the closest Mogs. I'm surprised to see the Mogadorians crumple to ash. My father quickly transforms into a red and gold scaled dragon. His wings fully expand in a quick motion and his mouth glows. Bright hot red and orange flame erupt from his jaws incinerating the closest Mogadorians.

You'll see them again I think, now keep running or you definitely won't. I continue to sprint until we reach the airport doors. Aris glances around checking for any followers. When he is satisfied, he opens the door in a quick jerk and briskly walks inside. We buy tickets for Canada and while in line for security, he buys a Honda Civic for our arrival. The knife starts to send ominous cold feelings through my leg. I think it's just the guilt. I put all of my things except the knife in a bin when it is finally my turn. I brace myself for the alarm to start blaring through the airport as I walk through the detectors. It doesn't come. I smile and keep walking forward to retrieve my belongings.

"Our flight is about to leave, hurry!" We walk quickly to the gate and bored the plane with no trouble. We walk down the aisle scanning the faces. We seem to be safe at the moment. He and I both collapse into our seats, me in the window seat and him in the middle. The aisle seat is empty. The flight attendant starts their speech and after five minutes the plane starts to taxi down the runway. The take off for me is hell since we aren't positive if the plane is safe. Imagine a Mog charging down the aisle with a glowing sword. That wouldn't end well.

"Aris, can I ask you something?" I wake Aris out of whatever daze he is trapped in.

"Yes, anything."

"What are my parents's legacies?"

He stares off into space and makes a sound that implies he is thinking. "If I remember correctly, your mother's are energy shields, animal telepathy and telekinesis. Your father's are flight, shape shifting and telekinesis."

A slow smile forms on my lips as I replay the fight earlier. "Did you know my grandparents's legacies?"

His faces scrunches up as if it will help him remember. "I wasn't ever around your father's parents but I did meet your mother's parents a few times. Your grandma had the rare legacy of invisibility which only occurs in one percent of the population. Her other legacies were telekinesis and pyrokinesis which she was skilled enough to even create flame. Your grandfather had the legacy of electrokinesis. He could summon huge lightning bolts or effect everyday electricity. He also had telekinesis and an even rarer legacy than your grandmother. His was the power of multiplying. He could make dozens of copies of himself. What was even cooler was that the copies could still use his legacies."

A huge smile has been on my face since he started talking about invisibility. What if any of the rare legacies are mine? To be able to turn invisible or make another me would be amazing. I smile as I lean back and close my eyes.

I am back in the parking lot. Twenty Mogadorians are scattered around the area. Two green beams form fists and pick up a van. The van is tossed onto a group of Mogs, crushing them. I feel heat across my back and my father's flames rush through me as if I'm a ghost. The Mogadorians in range combust and drift down in ash. A Mog with a drawn sword lunges at my mom. Energy shoots from her hands to form a wall which it bounces off. With telekinesis, she grabs the sword and drives it through it's stomach. My father is about to slice the last of them cleanly in half so my mother retrieves their belongings from the van. My father kills the last Mog and I feel something pass between my parents. My dad starts to fly. My mother effortlessly runs up his tail and climbs onto his back. The heavy beating of wings is the last thing I hear before I lift from the dream.

"Crap!" I look over and see Aris holding the phone that tracks the Garde. "Your parents won't be able to find us."

"They will. I know they will. But if they can't we can just go to them."

"But they need the phone. It's a key part in their plan." I glance over at Aris questionably.

"What plan?" I don't like being out of the loop.

"After your parents pick up the delivery they were suppose to find the Greeters. They needed papers which were in foreign languages that had very important information. After that they were going after Two."

We'll this is a shock, I think. Were they ever going to tell me or were they just going to disappear? Hopefully their plan is done quickly so I can see them again.

The rest of the flight goes smoothly. We break through the clouds and see a miniaturized city growing larger below us. Canada is going to be cold, I think. We start the descent and the plane shudders as the wheels make contact with the runway. "How about some bacon eh?" I roll my eyes and groan. Aris just thinks he's funny.
