Lynn (Midnight)
I was told to go upstairs to the library. Why? Not a clue. My mind raced as I reached the door. I tried to think of what could be on the other side as I put my hand on the doorknob. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open. It reveled candles everywhere and a note laying on a table just in front of me.
Close the door
I raised an eyebrow but closed the door. Again, I looked around the room. It smelt wonderful. Like whoever it was, was burning sugar cookie scented candles. It was then that I noticed what looked like a person standing on the far side of the room. Even though there was light in the room, I couldn't tell who it was. I was scared, but something told me to not worry too much. Something was telling me that everything was going to be okay. As I got closer, I could see more and more of the person in front of me. I could tell it was a guy and from the figure, he looked kind of familiar. He was looking out the window with his back towards me and while I was getting closer, he never moved. But I could see more and more the closer I got. When I was about a foot or two away, it all just clicked in my mind. My mind raced. It couldn't be him though? There wasn't any way it could be him standing in front of me. Was I dreaming?
"I think I am dreaming," I accidentally said aloud.
"You're not dreaming," he said.
I knew it was him then. "What's all this about?"
"I've been meaning to do this for a while. I just couldn't work up the courage."
"Courage for what?" I asked as I took a couple of steps forward.
He suddenly spun around and pulled me against him. Before I could come to so to speak, something warm was pressing against my lips. My heart was a herd of running rhinos in my chest, but I felt at home. A moment later, he broke the kiss and just held me against him.
"I've been wanting to do that since about the time we had the water day at the camp thing. But I never could. I guess part of the reason was I didn't want to take you away from Rayne, but then I was told she was Niel. And I just can't stop thinking about you. Will you be mine?" He asked.
I blushed and hid my face in his chest. "Of course I will. Took you long enough, L.Joe."

I quietly made my way to the back patio like the text told me to do. I didn't know what was possibly waiting for me. I had been feeling pretty safe with the group, well that was until the lights shut off. I gulped as I stepped out of the house and onto the patio. I closed the door and tried to see what was around me in what little light there was. I noticed a small slice of cake sitting on the table. Curious, I moved to investigate. It looked like a normal piece so I did what probably anyone would do. I picked it up and sniffed it. White cake with raspberry filling. My favorite. I was about to devour it when I had a sudden thought. Only one person knew what kind of cake I liked. And after everything that was going on, it couldn't be mere chance. It was him. What the heck was going on. As I was thinking, I had unknowingly chowed down the cake. I frowned. I wanted more. It was then that small arms wrapped around my waist, making me drop the plate and fork in my hands. Thankfully they were both plastic.
"I knew you'd like the cake," I heard the person say.
Yep, it was him. "Um, yeah. Just one question."
He chuckled. "The rest is in the fridge."
"How?"
"I know you a bit too well."
