She makes her way out to the parking lot and searches the VIP section for Jared's car but it's gone. She was frustrated, she had spent good money on her gown and the dress she was now wearing, over two hours getting her hair and nails done in hopes of spending the night with Jared. She was hoping to get him turned on enough for him to follow her home but he left before she even had a chance to try. She wasn't gonna begrudge him dinner with his brother but still ....... "UUGH" she throws her bag onto the passenger seat and closes the door "Now what????" She grabs her bag and fishes out her phone and places a call. She places the phone down once the Bluetooth kicks in and waits for him to pick up. She pulls out of the parking lot and onto the main road. He finally picks up right before it goes to voicemail "Mmmm..... hellooo" oh God he's kidding me right she looks at the time Oh Shit!!! "Don't tell me you were already sleeping" no shit Sherlock "Do you know what time it is?" YES "Sorry about that, I just left the Gallery and I was wondering if you wanted to join me for a drink at The Cove" She waits through the long silence come on "Pleeease" all he wanted was to go back to sleep but when she calls this late he usually gets lucky so he figures what the hell "Fine! I'll be there in 30" He isn't Jared by any stretch of the imagination but he'll have to do.
She thinks back to Jared and the woman who replaced Mattea. She's intrigued, Nikki's attraction to Jared is more sexual than anything else. She knew he wasn't looking for a relationship so she assumed getting him into bed would be easy. That was of course once Mattea was safely out of the way, her fixation on Jared made it easy to play on Mattea's insecurities. The night Jared sent her home couldn't have played out better, Andy was supposed to be Nikki's date for the art exhibition but he stood her up when he realized the only reason she wanted him there was to make Jared jealous. She had no way of knowing that Mattea would run into Andy on her way home. She had to admit she was mildly jealous when he admitted to cheating with Mattea not that she would let him know but the objective was Jared so she figured she might as well swallow her pride and take one for the team.
This one however is different, he looks at her differently and something about that doesn't sit well with Nikki. If he's emotionally invested in this one there's no way she'll get him into her bed. But that's impossible Jared Leto doesn't do relationships, he pretty much told her so shortly after they met. He said he preferred to keep things uncomplicated that way nobody gets hurt. She tried asking him why but he said some things were best left unspoken. He seemed so mysterious, the more he kept hidden the more she wanted to discover. She wondered what he was like in bed, what it was like to be touched by him. Her breath hitches at the very though, she takes a deep breath and shakes it off. She's been sitting in the Cove parking lot for the past 15 minutes thinking about Jared and what her next move might be. This is not the way she pictured ending her night but what more could she do. She gets out of the car and heads to the bar and orders a Martini and a kamikaze shot.
She's almost done with her drink and about to take her second shot when she hears his familiar voice "Starting the party without me?" She looks up at him and gives him a sly smirk "You took too long" She woke him out of a sound sleep so he decided to have a little fun with her "Sorry but the little Asian number in my bed didn't want to let me go" oh God spare me your comedic sarcasm "Ouch that hurts Andrew" he gives her a sly smirk of his own "Aaw are you jealous" she huffs in frustration "Of Casper the friendly Asian.....Please" he chuckles under his breath, he loves it when he gets under her skin. "So why did you pull me out of bed at this ungodly hour" she looks at him as if to say Really "It was only 11:00 when I called you besides it's not like you're not gonna benefit from it anyway" there's that smirk again "You still haven't told me what I'm doing here" he orders a Jack and Coke from the bartender as she takes her second shot . She studies him for a bit taking in his soft features and his sky blue eyes breathing deeply and Cooly asking "So what can you tell me about Nina Morette?"
