He calls me STUPID

Chapter 21

I'm shivering, it's so cold down here. I'm so scared, I'm telling for help and I hear someone jumping down. "Oh thank God." I sigh in relief.

"Sarah?" He's calling out to me.
"I'm here" I reach my pocket and take my phone out. I turn the torch on.

"Thank you Alex." I smile and he smiles back. "I thought you guys would leave me.... alone." I look down.

I feel his hand on my shoulder and I look up. He's staring at me "Do you really think I would break my promise stupid?"

I hug him "It'll be okay." He pats me on the head. Damn I had no idea he was THIS TALL. God Damn I couldn't even tell from the distance. SNAP OUT OF IT!

"Now. Can we please leave? This is really bringing back some bad memories for me." He nods. And, hand-in-hand, start walking through these tunnels again hoping to find a climbable exit.

Sam:

I put Jay down, gently not to wake her up. "Listen we're gonna take a break. Do you have your phone with You?" I whisper to Amber. "Yeah I managed to save my IPhone 7s" she smirks "Daddy bought it for me."

I roll my eyes "Good, we have a light source. I have my phone too but if it dies we're using yours."
"Ugh fine." She rolls her eyes.
God Damn and she is going to be my stepsister. I shake my head.

I crouch down next to sleeping Jay and gently brush the hair out of her eyes trying not to wake her. I smile unconsciously.

Sarah:

Maybe I should just tell him, I should just let it out. Maybe it'll stop hurting, maybe I'll let go easier. Alex coughs interrupting my thoughts. "Listen I gotta be honest..."
I'm getting a bad feeling about this "I know Luke's your-" he coughs again awkwardly "but he's really being annoying-"
"MY WHAT?!" I snap. WHO TOLD HIM LUKE WAS MY
B-B-BOYFRIEND?! I've never had a boyfriend in my life. But I calm myself a little knowing he just probably heard a rumour  "Who told you Luke was my boyfriend?" I kinda feel hurt now, I can't believe that he believes that I'm actually in a relationship WITHOUT asking me about it. "Umm Amber?" He looks confused
Im really getting mad now, I feel my cheeks heating up, that's what happens when I'm mad "And you BELIEVED her?!" I snapped.

"Well I thought she was your friend-" Alex looks relieved "I HATE AMBER AND SHE FRICKIN HATES ME FOR SOME REASON. SHE IS LITERALLY SO ANNOYING AND SUCH A LYING BRAT-" Alex cuts me "So wait... You guys aren't together?" He asks.

"No he's been my best friend since childhood." I calm down a little "Oh my, I still have a chance..." he murmurs. "What?" I ask, I didnt hear him. He just smiles and says it's nothing. "Hmmmm.." I'm left without an answer.

Then I remembered my brother was still up there somewhere and I look up.

Oh the stars in the sky above me, watch over my stupid brother and keep him safe. I pray in my head and continue walking next to Alex. Even tho I can't see the stars right now, I know they're still up there shining beautifully on the night sky.
