I'm running... running running... I look behind me but he's still chasing me and is gaining on me... What am I going to do? I don't frickin know! I feel like shit... he made me feel like shit... I feel betrayed....

Today's the day. The Freaky Friday dance. Let me explain it a bit for you guys. So you are going to wear a mask so people don't recognise you. I know I know Alex asked me to be his date. When you have a date, he's not supposed to know what you look like, if at the last dance he still doesn't find you then it's over because, after the last dance you take off your masks.
It's kinda lame, but at least we don't get to go to school.

Gaby came over today to help me get ready. So I decided that I'll wear a long white dress, that goes a little above my knees and a matching white mask with feathers.
I let Gaby do my makeup since I suck at that part.

She's suggested to let my hair down because I have long hair and she'll curl it. As for makeup, I'll put some bright red lipstick and some eyeliner and mascara.

She's wearing a long red dress and a black mask. She pinned one side of her hair to the side and curled it. She's wearing a dark red lipstick and some black eyeshadow under her mask. She looks amazing.

"OK THIS IS MY GREATEST MASTER PIECE!" She says pointing at me "Sarah Omg you look gorgeous. Bomb. Absolutely stunning." She says with a grin.

I blush a little "Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." She hits me on the shoulder "I'm kidding Im kidding Geez someone's aggressive." She rolls her eyes at my comment.

Sam is gonna drive us to school, since we still can't drive.

Once we arrive, there are tons of students entering the school, girls wearing dresses of all kinds of colours but guys are mostly wearing black.

It looks amazing. When we step outside of the car, we're greeted by a cold breeze because it's dark outside. It's refreshing.

Sam splits up from us. Probably looking for Jay hehe.
And it's just Gaby and I. We're walking towards our gym.
It's packed, so many students are here. How the fuck am I supposed to find him here.

"Relax we're here to have fun, you'll find him. Don't worry about it." Gaby smiles at me, I smile back. She's right, I should have fun tonight.

"Hey ladies." A tall guy approaches us with a smirk.
"Any of you wanna dance?"

"Nahh." I decline.

"What about you?" He turns to Gaby.

"Umm sure."

WHAT?! HOW DARE YOU?! TRAITOR! I glare at her but she just shrugs and walks away with the guy.

Sigh. Welp shit.

I'll just go and grab a drink. I head towards the table with food and drinks.

Ehh I'll just take a water bottle.
I lean against the table and stare at the scene in front of me. How clicheé. But in the books somebody always approaches the lonely girl. Not in this case, this is reality...

I spot Gaby dancing with that dude. And next to them is a couple in the middle of a make out session. Ugh... What the heck, can't they make it any more awkward. And now they're just staring at each other.

I check my watch and its 11pm. An hour left and no sight of Alex. I've seen a few guys who look like him but they were all with a girl and crap. Maybe he just didnt come...

Then someone does actually approach me. It's a girl, she's wearing a knee length black dress and a black mask and she has her hair tied back in a bun. "HALLO" I recognize her voice "Jay?"

"THE ONE AND ONLY." she smiles.

I hug her "Thank God dood I was standing here for almost 10 or 15 minutes. ALONE. Gaby left me." I point at Gaby and the guy on the dance floor.

She opens her eyes wide "Oh no way. If you're here then who's he...?" Jay says while staring at that couple who are making out again.

She furrows her brows and starts walking towards them. I follow her "Wait Jay where are you going??" I'm so confused.

She clears her throat to get their attention and it works. They're both staring at her like she's grown 2 heads or something. "Jay? Umm can't you see we're in the middle of something.." the guy says motioning toward the girl.

Jay sighs frustrated and takes off the girls wig revealing her blonde hair. "Do you even know who you're kissing DUMBASS?"

"Wait what? You mean this is not Sarah?" I'm surprised this guy even knows me. It's kinda awkward for me to be standing here watching this.

"Oh my God I just want to hit you in the head a thousand times now Alex." Jay says.

Alex.... My vision blurs, I feel hurt and betrayed and sad at the same time.

I start walking away from the scene.

I wanna go home.

When I exit the building I start crying because I can't take it anymore. I don't want to feel hurt again... sad again... left out and alone... But I can't stop my emotions.

I hear someone behind me and I start running, i need to be alone right now. I need to think...
