chapter twenty

I drift to consciousness as someone talks to my mate..my left hand in his right hand as he left hand lovingly stroke my skin...l sense more than two people in the room but only two were talking

"She is going to be okay...lts just stress"

"But doctor she hasn't been doing anything"

"Emotional stress...you idiot...what did you do to the poor girl"

"I---i--"
Now he is stuttering.. Tell the doctor what you did to me..

"Its my fault"..
.I hear his sister say

"What did you do"

"I taunted her with Lisa's and Castile's relationship... I thought she knew and---"

"You thought... It didn't seem like you actually thinked about It"
My mate says

"This is not the time to do that...why didn't you talk with your brother about Lisa first"

You go doctor...wait what...she knew about Lisa...l wanted to shrink in the bed but l dare not move...everyone knew..how stupid was l

"She needs rest...you both should go outside...you too Lisa"

I can hear my mate and his sister whispering harshly then the door is slammed...but l can still here them making a ruckus outside

"You can open your eyes now"

I open my eyes to see seraiah...the elderly woman smiling down at me...she sat beside me on the bed and looked at me with amusement dancing in her eyes

"You knew l was awake"

"Yes...I am sure they all knew..."

I sign in frustration..so much for lying still...maybe that's why my mate couldn't talk..maybe he thought he was trying to save me from pain but he had already failed woefully

"Honey what happened..??"

I sit up on the bed...back against the bed board...the bed's blanket lying on my waist...

"Nothing... I was just stressed with the Lisa stuff"

"Being stressed doesn't make you weak..crying like crazy and frustration make you faint...maybe even heart break"
