Suddenly His

chapter twelve

My hands are shaking as l look at the closed chapel door
"Princess you are shaking"
"I know..l am so nervous"
"It would be okay princess"
"I know dad but l can't help it...promise not to let me fall"
"I promise...l am here for you"
I tighten my hands around my dad's elbow and wait for the doors to open..
"I love you princess.. You are a big girl and you are strong..never forget that..and Castile will take good care of you"
"Thank you dad"
"Shhhh..the door are opening"
I smile to my dad as the doors open to revile quite a large crowd..the vampires are seated on the left with few of the other species living with them and the shifters are on the right and with their allies species.....l scan the room for my mate and see him at the aisle looking so sexy in that expensive looking suit...I look to his eyes and see that his already looking at me..l blush but l can't look away.
You-can-do-it  his eyes seem to tell me and that gives me strength..my dad taps my arm telling me that it's time to move ahead...as soon as l step into the chapel, l try to keep my stride steadyly graceful, my smile unwavering, my head high and my eyes showing love but l am too nervous.. I look towards my mate and beg him with my eyes.. Help-me...but he just widens his smile and nods his head at me as lf saying you-can-do-it...just a few more steps to me...

We finally get to the aisle..my dad hands me over to Castile and then he whispers..
"You had better take care of my princess"
"I will try my best sir"
I smile to that..my dad has always been protective of me..my mate takes my hand and we both move towards the altar..
"You are looking radiantly beautiful"
"You are not looking bad yourself"
"Says my sexy bride"
"You are so corny"
"Am not and l love the gown..l love the fact that l get to rip it"
"You are not----"
The priest clears his throats strategically telling us to shut our mouth...
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to bear witness to the union of two species...union between vampires and shifters.. The vampire prince and the shifter princess...------"
Blah blah blah blah blah....the rest was a blur...l take the time to really look at my mate...he is really handsome..with his dirty blond hair..his porcelain skin...his pale green eyes....his sun-kissed face....his fit and sexy body...
"Do you avaline hastings take Castile fox to be your lawfully wedded vampire husband..??"
I was still staring at my mate when my bff Clarissa pinched me...alerting me..okay for those who are wondering where she jumped out from from..l have to say no where...she arrived a day after my mom and dad arrived.. Clarissa was my maid of honor and val was Castile's best man....I immediately perk up to see everyone looking at me...my mate is staring at me with fear in his beautiful eyes...l am always fazing out...l look around..why is everyone staring at Me...l am beyond confused..then l hear the priest's voice..
"I said do you avaline hastings take Castile fox to be your lawfully wedded vampire husband...??"
Ooohhh....."I DO" I say very firmly..my mate sign's in relieve and he visibly relaxes...
The priest look over to my mate and repeats the same question
"Do you Castile fox take avaline Hastings to be your lawfully wedded shifter wife"
"I DO" my mate says without blinking..
"Then please exchange vows and rings"
My mate goes first
"Avaline from the first time l met you..l knew you were the one for me...ever since l met you..the sun seems to shine brighter..my smile seems to get wider and my world seems to get bigger... You make everything perfect... Without you l was just an empty soul adrift on the sea of life..you gave me purpose without even knowing it...you are a light that can never go deem..you light up everything in your part..l know that lts too soon to say all this but lts the truth and l love you for it...l know that l didn't give you a chance since meeting you..taking you away from your family one minute and wanting to get married to you the next but I don't want to lose you...l don't want you to realize that you are making a mistake by marrying me because you are just so perfect and l am not good enough for you but l am a selfish bastard and l am not letting you go...no matter what..l promise to love you and never make you cry...l love you"
That was so beautiful... I had tears running down my eyes before he was even done..in fact the whole church were sniffing..my mate slides the ring into my finger and kisses it..
"I guess lts my turn...Castile you crazy man..see what you've done..my make up will be ruined...lts pretty had to beat such a vow and you better keep to it or l am letting my she cat out on you"
Everyone laughs at that...even l laugh too
"I am so fortunate to have met you..you say l am perfect but l am not...you make me perfect..you make me complete..you make me want to do things that l wouldn't have imagined  myself doing..you make me a better person...you are an amazing man and l am lucky to have a mate like you...l promise to be a better mate..l promise to love you till eternity... I promise to try and make our marriage be the best it can be..l promise to try and give you the big family that you want..l promise not to run from you again and l promise to stand by your side through thick and thin..through the bad and good...through life itself...l promise to never give up on you..l promise to give my heart to you..l promise to go where ever you go...because my home and life is with you no matter where you are...l love you cas.."
I slide the ring into my mate's finger and smile at him..
"You may now kiss the bride"
My mate pulls me to himself and kisses me...but this kiss is different from our other kisses..this kiss reflects possession, love,happiness...
"Ladies and gentlemen l present to you Mr & Mrs Castile fox....the newly weds"
My mate stops kissing me and we turn to the crowd...we smile and wave as we move towards the car that awaits us outside the church to take us back to the castle where the reception was holding..
Mrs Avaline fox..l love the sound of that....
