Bill's POV

"W-what just h-happened?", I ask, staring in shock as the new girl walks down the street, away from Eddie. He takes a hit off his inhaler before placing it in his fanny pack, which rests against his waist once again.

"I believe Eddie spaghetti just got hit on for the first time in his entire life!", Richie cheered, slinging an arm around Eddie. "And by the hottest girl in the entire school!"

In response, Eddie shoves his arm away and reddens slightly.
"Don't call me that. And she didn't hit on me, she was just being nice! Plus, I can't be in a relationship with someone. The idea of being that close to anyone is gross."

Smiling, I watch as Stan snatches the yearbook.

"Hey! Give that back!"

Richie holds Eddie down as Stan and I read the pretty handwriting.

"I-If she wasn't h-hitting on you, t-then what's this?" I question, lifting an eyebrow and holding the yearbook open for him to see. A teasing glint hides in my expression.

In a flash, both Richie and Eddie are stood reading the cursive lettering. Eddie slowly turns red, and a devilish grin spreads upon Richie's face as he pushes up his thick rimmed glasses.
"Well would you look at that Eddie spaghetti!"

Eddie stumbles to find his inhaler, not even bothering to correct the loud mouth. Once he has it gripped tightly in his hand, he takes numerous hits off it.

"Well, we should go meet her at the park today. We could invite her to the Barrens...she seems a lot nicer than the other popular girls in this shit school." Stan suggests, smiling lightly, seeming happy that Eddie is finally receiving female attention.

"Hell yeah we are!"
With a wide grin, Richie excitedly climbs onto his bike, preparing to speed to the park.
"W-wait Richie. Eddie h-hasn't decided y-yet."

At the mention of his name, Eddie perks up, putting his inhaler back into his fanny pack.
"N-no thanks. Let's just stick to what we're use to."

I glance at Stan, both of us debating whether to accept his decision or to convince him otherwise.

Thankfully, Richie isn't having this shit.

"Like hell we're missing out on this! C'mon Eddie, the hottest girl in school just asked you on a date, don't fuck this up man!" Jumping back off his bike, the trash mouth walks over and gives the smaller boy a pat on the back. "We'll all go together!"

Eddie slowly looks towards me and Stan, to which we both nod our head with an encouraging expression.

"Yeah I guess so. But if my mom finds out I'm meeting up with a girl, she'll KILL me."
