Recap:
Although the last few days were admittedly enjoyable, we all knew it wouldn't last long. We knew we would have to face reality. And before we had enough time to enjoy the peace a little longer, it took Bev.
I was in the middle of talking to Mrs. Maple about money my father had apparently left in my name, when there was a knock on the door. When I opened it, Bill and the everyone one else was stood there panting. Everyone, except Bev.
They explained the story, and I was off, leaving Mrs. Maple to do what she loves the most: take care of Ash.
Now here we were, striding down the road towards Neibolt.
Recap End.
"And your sure it got her?" I question, as we approach the abandoned house. Something in my heart the whole way there, just stung. I wonder if everyone else feels that, or if it's just me. All I know is, something really big is about to happen.
"P-Positive." Bill states, striding up the steps.
"Wait!" Stan calls, causing us all to turn around. "Maybe—"
"No." Bill cuts him off. "W-We have to d-do this t-together. All of us. Even you, S-Stan." He throws Stan a sympathetic look. "Th-That's the only way w-we can beat him."
Stan swallows hard, before following us up the steps.
"We need to all stick together no matter what." I state, clasping my hand into Eddie's. The boys nod, giving one another a look of reassurance.
"And...before we go in, I would like to have a moment alone with Eddie." I add, with a blush. Richie rolls his eyes a little. Everyone else gives a knowing nod.
They know damn well some girly scene is about to go down.
We both step off the porch and a little ways away from the house.
"Eddie...before we go in there, I really want to tell you something– and I swear it's not just my usual I love you– I swear." I giggle, holding his hand and staring into his pretty eyes. He grins, the freckles on his cheeks rising to be just beneath his eyes.
"Go on..." he says, causing me to laugh lightly.
"You will never know what it's like to love you....
All this time, I've spent my life running from men. Running from CPS, running from Henry....running from my dad. I just had this crazy mess going on in my life. It was like a huge wad of gum stuck in my hair—" I giggle, tiny tears forming in my eyes. Eddie stares at me with a light smile. "—and then, in the middle of my chaos, there you were. Sweet little Eddie Kaspbrak, holding a pair of scissors. And before I knew it, you snipped off that wad of gum. I don't think you will ever realize, you changed everything for me."
My tears have already begun descending down my cheeks, and Eddie's eyes begin to perk with them too as I continue.
"I knew you were the one when I started having dreams of you, even though I was wide awake. When we get out of this damn house, let's be together forever, okay? Because, Eddie Kaspbrak, you have my whole heart.
You always did."
Without warning, he tugs me into a tight hug. He pulls back to give me a sweet kiss. An extremely passionate one.
"Is it possible? Falling for someone more than once? Because I swear I am." He grins, wiping away his tears. Giggling, I wipe away mine too. Then, taking a deep breath, I intertwine our fingers once more and walk back towards the house.
"That was worst than watching Eddie's mom try to scratch her own back." Richie snorts teasingly. Eddie glares his direction as the other boys snicker.
"Shut up about my mom!" He whines, as we brace ourselves.
Let's fucking do this.
