As I rush down the stairs, I see Pennywise, crawling towards Eddie, who is sat against a wall with his eyes shut tightly.
His arm looks to be broken, as he holds it to himself.
A rush of adrenaline flows through me. Next thing I know, I'm holding a piece of broken off floorboard and charging towards the child-eating creature. There was no way in the world he was gonna hurt my boyfriend.
I lift the board and smack it down into the creatures head with a loud grunt.
"LEAVE MY BOYFRIEND ALONE YOU CHILD MOLESTING ASSHOLE."
Eddie looks up in shock, fear still evident in his eyes. Pennywise turns to me with a look of rage. His hand still rests on Eddie's threat.
The adrenaline fades, and the sense of fear returns to me. Yet I stay there, staring eye to eye with what could possibly end my life this very second.
Much to my relief, Bill and Richie charge in. "It's n-not real Ally! D-Don't be afraid! He c-can't hurt you if you aren't s-s-scared!" Bill yells, running towards us. Richie makes a disgusted noise at the sight of Eddie's broken arm.
Pennywise's expression goes blank. "This isn't real enough for you, Billy? I'm not real enough for you?"
He shockingly, becomes SUPER offended by Bill's words, but ultimately seems weakened. I glance carefully towards Eddie, who is shaking in fear. Pennywise stands and walks towards us, leaving Eddie be.
As soon as he's close enough to us, Richie and I run past the clown, crouching by Eddie.
"I have to break it back into place!"
"NO. Don't fucking touch me!"
Snap
A scream erupts from Eddie's lips as Richie snaps his arm anyway, not fixing the deformed limb at all. The other losers run into the house, hearing the commotion. As soon as they see the clown, they cower against the wall with us.
Bill stands by us, protectively.
"He's n-not real!" He yells, "h-he c-can't hurt us!"
The clown walks towards us, transforming into every fear possible. He continuously yells, "this isn't real enough for you?!" The monster strikes at us over and over again, managing to claw Ben.
We scream and cling to each other as we begin to fear for the worst. "I'm not afraid of you." Bill repeats determinedly, although he was.
Suddenly, the clown isn't there. He's vanished, in the direction of where I assume the basement is located. Bill runs off to find him, yelling that we can't let him get away.
"E-Eddie? Are you okay? Look at me." I attempt to grasp the boys full attention. He looks at me with betrayal. "How did you choose the wrong Eddie?" He questions, tears forming in his eyes.
I stumble over words, attempting to justify myself.
He shakes his head, and looks away from me. I sit by him quietly as Bill returns.
As soon as he gets back, we rush to get Eddie help. His mother is beyond pissed at the sight of his arm. She rushes to push him into the car. Bill tries to explain, but she won't have it.
"M-Mrs. K-Kaspbrak p-please—"
"NO. You listen. How could you let my precious Eddie get hurt so badly?! You know how fragile he is!" She glances around at us, looking between me and Bev.
"Oh, I know who you are Ms. Beverly Marsh. And I don't want my little Eddie hanging around with a dirty girl like you." She says tauntingly, then drifts to me, "and you. Flower. A whore, just like your mother. Probably a drunk, just like you father. You will definitely never step foot towards my son again."
My hands clench into fists as I watch the lady go around the car and get into the drivers seat. I stare desperately at Eddie, but he doesn't even spare me a glance.
Pain shoots through my heart as they drive off.
I lost Eddie.
We all step into the street, watching the car drive off.
"N-Next time w-we'll be more p-prepared—"
"Next time? THERE IS NO NEXT TIME." Richie yells, furious.
"Richie—"
"NO. Eddie's arm is broken. Look at this motherfucker! He's leaking hamburger helper!" Richie motions to Ben, who had a large claw mark down his stomach.
"B-but we h-h-have to save Georgie!" Bill yells, becoming frustrated. I shrink away, feeling like my world is falling apart.
"GEORGIE IS DEAD DAMN IT. HE'S FUCKING DEAD, AND I'M NOT GONNA END UP LIKE HIM—"
punch
A gasp erupts from me as Stan holds Richie back from returning the punch Bill just delivered him.
"Stop!" Bev yells, getting between them. "This is what it wants! It wants us to break apart."
"Fuck you, Denbrough." Richie glances to me as I stand defensively by Bill. "Sucking Bill's dick now, Flower? No wonder you let Eddie fall through that floor."
Tears well in my eyes, I stare in disbelief at the boy. With that, Richie and Stan retreat. Even Ben leaves.
"Mike?" I mutter, disbelief in my eyes.
"I'm sorry. I can't do this. My grandpa was right, this town is cursed." He apologizes, climbing onto his bike and riding away. Me, Bill, and Bev are left standing there in a daze.
I didn't only lose Eddie. I lost everything.
