Faith's POV
-1 week after being adopted-
I've met the catching fire cast and they are like my family! Woody is like my uncle, Elizabeth is like my aunt, Liam and Sam are like my older brother since thy are always wondering what I am doing, and Jena is like my older sister, and Willow is like my twin!
I've already started school and I am in athletics. And man is it tiring! But I am trying out for the girls basketball team. The school I go to is Kitty Hawk Middle School and we are The Flyers.
Note- I go to that school. Back to story.
I've even met a guy! Not in that kind of way like a brother way. His name is Jack griffo (yes the guy from the thunder mans! Sorry but he's cute but pretend he is 13!)
I am also in choir and everyone likes my voice but I feel like I have a horrible voice. Everyone's been asking if I wasted to be an actress like my mom. But I could care less! If I make my mom and dad happy then I'll do it!
Everyone's also been asking me if I am trying out for the cheerleading team since I could do backflips and all that kinds of stuff but cheerleading is not my kind of thing! Like really it isn't even a sport!
So here I am in a practice jersey waiting to try out for basketball. I also heard my dad loves basketball and my mom loves cheerleading. Yay me right. ( I am joking. )
Jen's POV
So Josh,Liam,Sam,Woody and I heard that Faith is gonna tryout or basketball. Since that is Josh favorite sport we all decide to go see her tryout. I am also hoping she would try out for cheerleading since I see all the posters for it around saying
'Cheer tryouts Wednesdays (tomorrow I think to myself) 3:45pm to 5:30pm! See you there! Go Flyers!!!'
I really hope she tries out. Josh says she won't since cheer isn't a sport.
"I know! Now let's hope she can play." Woody says.
"Okay now let's set a game up.
Alison.Chloe,Lily,Sam, and Ashley your team A. Cameron,Natalie, Brooke,Emily, and Hutcherson your team B. Now lady's you need to play aggressive to make the team.
Coach Little says. All the girls nod and Lily and Faith are gonna do the jumpy thingy. Josh says it's called a jump ball.
*Ring* the coach blows the whistle. Faith and Lily fight for the ball and Faith ends up winning the jump ball.
They go towards the basket and Natalie passes the ball to Faith and Faith makes the layup. The other team go toward the ball and Faith blocked the ball and gets ahold of it a makes a 3 pointer!
"Well looks like your daughter can play!" Liam says.
The rest of the game other girls shoot and Faith blocks a lot and also makes a lot of three pointers. At the end of tryouts Faith still hasn't notice us and that's a good thing since we really don't want to. Apparently tennis is coming up and some girls stay and practice tennis. Faith is one of those girls. But she's having a conversation with someone! But it's not a girl, it's a guy!
-After practice about to start tennis-
"Faith!" that guy says.
"Jack! Hey what are you doing here?" Faith says hugging him.
"I just got out of football and basketball practice and wanted to see if you wanted to do tennis?"
"Yea sure let's do it in here." Faith says
So they are hitting the ball around and Faith is pretty good I wonder where she gets it from? They laugh and talk but this one conversation gets my attention.
"So you gonna tryout for cheerleading? You know wear the short skirt, get tossed into the air." he says smirking.
"NO! Cheerleading isn't even a sport!"
"Cheerleading or basketb-" he gets cut off.
"Basketball!" she sad seriously.
"Wow you don't like cheer that much huh?"
"No!" Faith almost shouts since she hit the ball hard.
"DANM wanna hit harder?" he jokes.
"Nah I am good. Hey what time is it?"
"7:18pm why?"
"They are gonna post the list at 7:30."
"Well I guess we are waiting till then huh?"
"Yes. Yes we are."
-7:30-
The coach goes out to post the list and Jack runs towards it.
" I don't wanna look!" Faith laughs.
"You have too." jack says.
"I am scared though!"
"Just looney it! Come on."
"Fine fine!" she gives up. "oh my god I made it!! A team too!!" she screams and jack picks her up and hugs he tightly!
