Chapter 20

Faiths POV

I heard those words playing in my mind again.

'I am your long lost Aunt Julia and I am here to take you back'

I don't want to go back! Then for some reason fear took over me, which has barley happened and I just screamed.

I just screamed at the top of my lungs and ran out the door.

Jen's POV

I could see the fear in Faiths eyes when the lady told her she was her aunt. She then screamed and ran out the door.

"Faith!" Jack yelled and ran after her.

All I do is stare at the door, hoping that this is all fake! I don't want to let this lady take Faith away from Josh and I! I won't let her, not without a fight! She can't just come to our house and tell her she's taking her back. It doesn't even look like she knows who this lady is!

"So are you really Faith's aunt?" Karen (Josh's mom) asks.

"Yes I am. Julia Ward" she says

"But the FBI found no family members when they tried to track them down when she was in the hospital." Josh says

"Well then they must not be doing a good job, because here I am!" she says

I don't believe her, she looks really familiar and she has an accent Faith doesn't have. Faith has a Texas accent, but Julia has an British accent. And she just has like a face that I would never, EVER get out of my head, I just can't put my finger on it! Now it's gonna bug me for the rest of the day.

"But you just can't come to our house and tell her you are gonna take her away from us!" I say kind of pissed off.

"I can if she is mine!" she says back coldly.

"Well her last name isn't Ward it's Hutcherson." I spit back.

"But I am still her blood and she had some of my features" she says

"Actually no, she lost a lot of blood and Jen and I gave her blood, but the doctor put in medicine where she could have some of our features as if she was really our kid." Josh says gripping my waist, because I feel like he knows I want to punch this old lady in the face!

"Well she's still part of my family and I will take you two to court if I have too!" she says walking to the door.

"That's ok because I have great lawyers!!" I yell as she closes the door.

Faiths POV

I run for who knows how long, and I feel like someone is running after me. I see a dark ally in between two buildings so I run in there and put my back against the wall and try not to breathe so they won't hear me.

"Faith!" I think that's Jack, but the person runs and I close my eyes.

The person then stops but then walks, I don't know if they are walking backwards or forewords. But I do see a shadow, that I hope is not for me.

"Faith?" I am guessing that's Jack

"Faith?" he says again. All I do is keep my eyes closed imagining that he's gonna go away.

All of a sudden I feel two strong hands gripping my waist. I don't want to open my eyes so I keep then closed.

"Faith open your eyes!" Jack demands.

I finally open my eyes an I see a little bit of hurt in his eyes.

"Why'd you run away?" he asks
