Cyrus frowned a bit as the other male turned away. The young sprite merely gave a light shrug. If he didn't have any sort of interest in it, he didn't mind. Though, Cyrus had always been a gentle person. The male could never hurt anyone. Even with his powers, he was still weak due to his size. Cyrus's only defense was his magic, and that was all to true. Without his magic, he was just a boy with wings.
Victor had decided to go back in. After seeing Cyrus in his realm, the male couldn't get the sprite out of his head. Truly, it was all to surprising for the immortal being. What was drawing him to Cyrus, and why was it awakening his cold heart? The king had no remorse for anything for some time, and had never in a million years thought he would have any feelings for this magical being.
The king took a deep breath as he ran his fingers through his hair. He watched Cyrus finish up with the clothing and begin to hang it out to dry for the day. Victor smiled softly before letting out a yawn. He leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes; awaiting for Cyrus to return.
Cyrus soon pushed the door open and looked in. He smiled lightly as he saw the larger male resting in the chair. The water sprite moved over curiously before fluttering over top of him and looking at him with quite a curiosity, "My lord?" Cyrus was quite confused. Had he fallen asleep? The sprite lightly tilted his head as he looked over him. In this angle, the blonde noticed a decent size cut under his chin. 'Can't be leaving that.' He thought. The male brought his hand down and tenderly rested it on the King's cheek.
The King was quite quick to react to the sprite's soft touch. As soon as he felt Cyrus's skin against his, he reached his good arm up and grabbed ahold of Cyrus's wrist and pulled him forward. Victor popped his eyes open. His golden glow sparked like wild fire as he looked up at the floating male. His cheeks darkened as he looked at Cyrus with quite a surprise. Their noses were nearly touching, but Victor didn't mind, "What do you think you're doing, my little sprite?" The King brought his hand up and gently rested it on his cheek. "Why must you help someone who has done nothing but harm you?"
"G-gah!" Cyrus gasped as he was pulled forward. His cheeks darkened as the king's own did. The snowy haired male froze with fear. Of course he was afraid of Victor, but that didn't mean he couldn't save his life. As the two's eyes locked with one another's, Cyrus found himself at quite a loss for words. He bit his lower lip lightly; giving a nervous shrug as he landed on his feet. The king, only pulled him closer.
Cyrus took a deep breath. His turquoise eyes glowed vibrantly as he rubbed the back of his own head, "Even if you were evil before, t-that doesn't mean you have to be that way now. We all can change. It just takes a simple act to make it happen." Cyrus pulled against Victor's grip, "I see the good in you, but you don't seem to see it in yourself." The male's blue and green markings let off a soft glow. He shifted back a bit, but Victor didn't seem to let up.
Victor's eyes widened. He tilted his head lightly as Cyrus spoke. The male gasped softly at his comment. 'He knows who I am.' He thought, 'And he still thinks there's something good about me.' The King huffed before placing his hand on Cyrus's cheek. It had only been a day, but something seemed to be changing in the king. He felt as if the hole that had resided in him for so long was being filled by a heavy rain.
As he stroked Cyrus's cheek, he lightly cocked his head. The large male brushed his fingers through his hair and gently grazed the tips of his fingers down the small male's neck, "What are you doing to me, Cyrus?"
Cyrus gasped softly. He leaned his head back nervously before sulking a bit. The male shut his eyes tightly as Victor pulled him close. He gave a light shrug before placing his hand against Victor's. The male's porcelain cheeks were flushed with frustration as well as confusion, "I'm just taking care of you, my lord. Everyone deserves a second chance."
The King nodded before finally releasing Cyrus's hand. Truly neither of them seemed to be able to explain themselves. Victor felt that he was falling for the sprite all so suddenly. If he hadn't believed in love at first sight before, he truly did now.
Cyrus, though he hadn't admitted it, he felt the same as the King. Something was changing about Victor, and the water sprite could see that all to clearly. As he was let go, the younger male leaned back and looked another direction in a frustrated manner. His heart felt as if it were going to burst from his chest as he sulked back a bit from the King quietly. For a moment, he found himself at a loss for words. Neither of them seemed to have the words to speak, but one thing seemed to be certain for the both of them. The fire king and the water sprite could sense the feelings about one another. Admitting it would be another story.
Cyrus lifted up and lightly rubbed his shoulder. He took a deep breath before letting out a soft laugh, "Alright, I have things to do before night comes. Do you still want that ale? I'll fetch it while I'm in the cupboard."
Victor smiled softly before giving a light nodd, "Of course."
