"Is it true? Are we already here?" Cyrus's wings danced about as he looked out the window. The Prince cocked his head to the side before curling his hands around the frame of the window. The sprite held his hand out. His markings pulsed a soft blue. The young male smiled warmly, "Look at this! The grass here is green. That dead land, why so much?" Cyrus sat down in front of Victor as he spoke to him. His wings fluttered, and his legs danced back and forth as he stared out the window. The air was rather sweet smelling and damp with morning dew.

Victor was sitting and writing quietly. The male mumbled softly, "War took over our land for a long time. Once we were able to start the growth of crop again and the grass, we've been moving it outward now. Destruction is all I have helped bring, and I have been stuck in it for some time, and I wish for the grasses to be as green as they were when I was a child." The King took a deep breath before grabbing the Prince's hands, "It's not as frightening out here as you thought, is it?"

Cyrus rested back. He smiled happily. The male was clearly excited about the scenery. The world was much brighter them he remembered. It had been to long since he had been out in the world. It wasn't to long after they had started to see more flora, small cabins and stone buildings peppered in different areas in the fields. Varieties of crops seemed to be flourishing. As they got deeper in, the people became more thick and the streets crowded. Some people waved and cheered about. Villagers were chasing after the carriage and attempting to get a view inside. The Prince sulked back before moving to Victor's side and curling up to him, "Why are they following us?" Cyrus hadn't seen this many people in some time. The small male buried his face against the King's shoulder. He was clearly nervous.

The red haired male shook his head lightly. Victor shifted lightly before pulling Cyrus up against him. He pressed his lips lightly tithe prince's forehead, "They have been preparing for their queen's arrival. It has been quite some time since anyone's seen a sprite. You have to understand their excitement. Family will be coming home from search parties, things will  be changing for the better." Victor stroked Cyrus's head gently. The male smiled warmly before taking a soft breath, "You two are going to be safe here. Our family will be protected. I won't let anyone hurt the two of you."

Cyrus smiled softly as he heard the chatter outside. His wings fluttered as he listened to his King. The water sprite gave a soft nodd as he lightly nuzzled up to his lover, "For my arrival? I didn't expect such a fuss." The Prince took a deep breath, "Protect us? I believe you have the power to here, but what happens when Garth arrives here or when the child is born?" Cyrus held his stomach. He shifted lightly before shaking his head, "I don't want him to hurt my child."

The carriage came to a stop. The top began to get unloaded as the two sat quietly in the carriage for a moment. Victor pulled Cyrus close. He wanted nothing more then safety for Cyrus, and now that they were home, he had it, "Garth will not be here until the Festival of Rule. Months away, and that is when I will take my revenge for what he has done to my queen." Victor let out a low growl. His eyes sparked a vibrant ember as he let out a deep sigh, "I want him on my land. You have nothing to fear for you or our child." Victor looked outside the carriage window. He took a deep breath as he grabbed ahold of the handle, "Are you ready?"

Cyrus smiled softly before leaning up and pressing a soft kiss against Victor's cheek, "I can only hope."
