Cyrus sat quietly in his room. His legs pulled close against his chest as he stared out the window. The fairy's body ached as he took a deep breath. The Prince was lost for words. Victor still hadn't returned. Nearly three weeks had past, and there had been no word back from his lover. Had he left him there to fend for himself? Why had the king yet to return? The sprite felt quite hopeless at this point in time. Garth hadn't touched him since the argument in the dining hall. Truly, it had no effect on Cyrus. The blonde could care less about where the Lord was or what he was doing. As long as he wasn't near him, he wasn't worried about it.

He had been in this spot for days. Occasional he would get up and walk about in the room. His wings grew restless as well as his body. Cyrus had no trouble being alone. He had been in his little hut for so long by himself, it just felt normal to be hidden away from the rest of the world. Even if he wanted Victor, he was strong enough to wait, but for how much longer, he was unsure.

A soft knock echoed at the prince's door. Cyrus turned his attention towards it before lightly cocking his head. His wings fluttered lightly as he moved closer to the window. He brought himself into a ball; resting comfortably against the cool glass. His markings that ran up his arms fluctuated in arrays of blue and green as the rain poured down. He could see the garden from here. It was the only thing that brought him comfort in the dim lit room. Enough to erase the sounds at the door.

"I'm not coming out until my King has returned." Cyrus turned and looked towards it. His eyes lit up, but not from fear, from anger. The Prince had to protect himself and the child, "You can dismiss yourself." The Prince gripped his legs tightly. Against the door, nearly every piece of heavy furniture had been pushed against it. Cyrus, refused to move any of it unless it was Ashton bringing a meal, but he gave the same comment each time.

Occasionally, the knock would come and go. The blonde knew that it was Garth, playing his usual game. It didn't scare Cyrus, 'I don't have to kill him to protect myself.' He thought to himself. If Garth laid another hand on him, he would injure the Lord. The Prince was to remain untouched, and fully intended on staying that way until he heard Victor once again.

The knock came again. Cyrus became a bit more concerned. He slowly moved up and glided towards the furniture. The blonde took a deep breath as he brushed his fingers through his hair. The furniture was difficult to move for him, but the sprite didn't let it stop him.

The beating against the door became more constant, but once again, no voice was there with it. The Prince struggled to move the heavy pieces, but once it was done, the only thing Cyrus could do was look at the handle. He took a deep breath before taking hold of it and pulling it open slightly, quite surprised by who it was.

The King stood at the door. He pushed it open rather quickly as his hand quickly moved forward; wrapping tightly around the Prince's waist and pulling him forward, "Cyrus!" Victor smiled. His markings lit in a array of reds and orange. The red haired male nuzzled his cheek warmly against his lover's.

"G-gah!" Cyrus flew up quickly towards the ceiling. The sudden jolt had frightened him. Since Garth's handle on him, the prince didn't wish for any sort of touch from anyone, but once he realized who it was, it was almost as if time had stopped for just a split second. The green eyed male cocked his head in a surprised manner, "V-Victor? My lord!" Cyrus choked up. He moved towards him in a instant; clinging to his shirt as he buried his face into his shoulder. His heart began racing in his chest as he clung to King Victor. Cyrus pressed himself closely against the larger male, "Y-You're here, please, tell me I'm awake." His eyes were swelled with tears. The small male landed on his feet; shaking his head on a nervous manner, "I don't want to wake if this isn't really you. Let me dream a while longer-"

The red haired male cut him off quickly. He pressed his lips firmly against Cyrus's own before pulling him back against his larger frame. Victor scooped him off the ground and fell with him back on the bed. The larger male held him close against him. The king held his cheeks gently in his palms, "If this were a dream, would I be so warm?" Victor smiled softly; cocking his head as he took hold of Cyrus tightly, "Have you been well my love? Has my nephew treated you well?" Victor stroked his cheek gently. The red haired male wiped the tears from his sprite's cheeks, "Don't cry, smile for me darling. I have wonderful news. The elder's have agreed to our marriage. It was less difficult then I expected it to be."

He took a deep breath. The blonde crossed his arms before lightly cocking his head, "I'm crying because I'm happy you're back. It felt like I was never going to see you again! Please, let's go. L-let's leave now. I have my all my things already packed." Cyrus seemed quite frantic. He was ready to escape this hell. The Prince wanted to be as far away as possible, "As long as I'm with you I'm happy, my Lord."

The King cocked his head. His Prince was acting odd and truly quite afraid. "I understand that you are ready to leave but it has been a long journey. The stall hand is working on getting a new set of horses on the carriage. We'll be leaving in the morning. You've waited this long. Is another night going to be that bad?" Victor cocked his head. He leaned down and lightly kissed his shoulder. The male tilted his head lightly, "Besides, I've missed you in more ways then I can count." The King pulled against the sprite's shirt, "Come on now, I could kiss you for days." Victor glanced at all the furniture that had been dragged out of the way. The male tensed lightly, "Cyrus, what happened here? Is there something you're not telling me?" Victor lifted his chin and leaned down. His ember eyes lit up in a array of molten gold and vibrant reds around his pupils. The king was becoming curious now about the matter, and the more he looked over Cyrus, the more he noticed. His lips were chapped, his eyes heavy, and all around, he just seemed to be worn.

Cyrus looked up at him. He took the king's palms in his own before shaking his head, "Victor I want to leave. Do not make me stay here another night. If you love me, truly, we will leave tonight." The prince's wings fluttered in a frantic manner. His grip became tight as he lightly pulled him down closer. Cyrus's voice had become shaken, "It doesn't matter why I made this mess does it? My love, can we please just leave?"

Victor tensed lightly. He hadn't expected Cyrus to not give him a straight answer. The red haired male knew something was wrong and clearly, it had to do with this place. The larger male brushed his fingers through his hair. He looked about for a moment before taking a deep breath, "Get dressed then. We'll be leaving as soon as I'm done speaking with Lord Garth. I'd like to be enlightened on why you've locked yourself away in this room."

The sprite's markings took a vibrant glow as the rain began to get heavy. Cyrus shook his head in a nervous manner as he crossed his arms, "Lord Victor I have been living in the home of the man who murdered my parents. I am scared." The blonde took  Victor's hands and placed them on his stomach. It was hard, and just barely a bump, but it was more then there had been before, "I-I'm protecting our child." Cyrus's breathing hitched. He covered his face with his free hand. He was terrified of what the king would think of him if he knew Garth had taken him. He wanted out of place, now.

Victor's eyes widened, "You're carrying my child?" The King pressed his hand firmly against his stomach. He understood why Cyrus was so afraid to leave the room. Garth was the rightful heir but now with a child on the way that could all change. The red haired male kissed Cyrus softly before giving a soft shake of his head, "I'm getting the both of you out of here, tonight."
