The Other Side of Ride or Die

Adym had just come out of the care of the hospital, and Jacob had just come out of his treatment. Jeanette had just come to see Jacob, after Adym had left his room with his brother Sawyer and his sister, Amanda. (I'm just gonna call her Amanda for now, I didn't see or feel like really looking for a video with her name.)

"How you feeling?" Sawyer said, pulling onto the boulevard.

"Yeah. First day out." Amanda said.

"Feeling ok. I'd be better if I knew how Jacob was. I'd heard he'd .... uh, ..... been in an accident." *sniffle*

"Damn." Sawyer said. "You wanna see him?"

"If possible."

"Of course." Amanda said gently.

Sawyer made a uturn toward the hospital.

They'd soon arrived back at the hospital. "Sit here for a minute." Amanda said. Adym and Sawyer sat in the chairs closest to the desk.

"Hello mam. How can I help you?" a lady asked. She was fat, red haired, but the face of an angel.

"Hello. I'm visiting someone."

"Ok. Name of the patient, your name, relationship, and .... age. "

"Jacob Sartorious. I'm Amanda Yorba, his frie-"

"Only family and immediate relatives can visit at this time."

"... I'm his friend's caregiver. He called me earlier today, begging for me to take him up to him."

"Like I just said, only family and immediate relatives. He is in critical condition."

"Excuse me, miss. But he just called for us to come up." Amanda motioned to Adym and Sawyer.

Sawyer looked up. "What's taking her so long?"

"I don't know. You should go check."

"Yeah."

Sawyer walked up to the front desk. The lady had her face tuned up, looking into the computer screen.

"What's up?"

"This lady isn't letting me get a slip and everything to get to Jacob's room."

"Why not?"

"I don't know. Actually, 'Only family and immediate relatives.'" Amanda said in a mocking tone. She rolled her eyes as she sighed.

"Can I help you sir?" the lady said with attitude.

Sawyer looked taken aback. "First, you can loose that attitude. That'd be really helpful."

The lady rolled her eyes.

"Second, it'd be pretty dope if you could issue a couple passes, so we can see our friend, and his step brother." Sawyer said motioning to Adym.

The lady huffed, and said: "Name, age, relationship."

"Of myself?"

"Who else?!"

Amanda became mad at the lady for serving attitude.

"Excuse me Porky, but we're trying to let his brother, ..... see how he's doing. Ok?!"

The lady ignored her, and turned to Sawyer. "Of you."

"Sawyer Gregory, 20. I'm Jacob's friend, and his brother's caretaker."

"Is his brother here?"

"Yes." Sawyer again motioned over to Adym.
