Maybe this will be angst? I don't know where it'll go.

Jeremy subtly stared at Michael as he continued to play his game of Mario.

Jeremy had died long ago- because he wanted to mind you- and had just been admiring the boy beside him.

The way the tv cast shadows across his face and how his tongue stuck out slightly in concentration.

Jeremy watched as Michel lost his last life and screamed in anger, causing Jeremy to giggle.

Michael sighed and slumped into his beanbag.

"So, Jer, how much longer till you have to head home?" Michael asked.

"Pretty soon actually." Jeremy said, noting that it was exactly 5 minutes and 30 seconds till he should start to walk home to get back in time.

"Oh, well, I can just drive you closer if you want." Michael offered.

"That, uh, That'd be great. Thanks Micha." Jeremy said smiling softly.

"No problem." Michael said as he stood up and stretched, before extending his hand to Jeremy.

Jeremy accepted his hand and allowed himself to be helped up.

"Let's head out!" Michael said and began to head to his PT Cruiser, Jeremy following shortly behind him.

~short skip of the car ride~

Michael pulled up to Jeremy's house and waved goodbye to Jeremy before he drove off.

Jeremy's smile slightly faded as he headed inside.

"I'm back." Jeremy announced.

"Ah J23-46 welcome back." Jeremy's creator, Dr. Squip said.

"Hello." Jeremy said setting his bag down and heading back to the lab behind Dr. Squip.

"Go ahead and hook in so that I can retrieve you data from today." Dr. Squip said.

Jeremy grabbed one of the cords and plugged it int a hidden port in his neck.

"You seem to be very close to this 'Mell' kid." Dr. Squip said.

"Yeah. I-I love him." Jeremy mumbled a soft smile on his face.

"Of course you do," Dr. Squip said with a sinister smile. "So much. It's really very touching. But..." he said in a sort of sing song voice, "I'm afraid I'm the one who holds your remote, well your codes and controls." He moved closer to Jeremy, "And either way, I made you. You're not his. You're mine. Don't forget that. Besides do you think that he'd return your feelings, even for a second, if he knew what you really are?"

Jeremy's face fell and he looked to the floor in sadness.

Dr. Squip smirked before he went back to his control panel and finished the download and updates.

"Let's try out some of your new features." Dr. Squip said.

~line break brought to you by the BMC revival~

Jeremy could now blush, make squeaks, and cry.

Basically more human functionalities.

He sighed as he grabbed his bag and made his way to school.

When he arrived he saw Michael standing at his locker and could feel himself blush a little.

He walked up to the boy. "H-hey Michael." Jeremy said, oh yeah he can stutter now too.

"Hey Jer!" Michael said shutting his locker, "ready for the next 8 hours of hell-I mean school?"

Jeremy laughed "Sure. Let's do it."

~time skip to when school is over and the two are at Michael's house~

Jeremy and Michael sat in Michael's basement playing games.

Jeremy took a deep breath and paused the game. He was going to tell Michael everything.

"Hey, what'd you do that for?" Michael asked.

"I have something that I need to tell you." Jeremy said.

"Go for it. I'm heere for you." Michael said.

Jeremy rolled his eyes before he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I'm....uh...I-I'm not h-human."

Michael looked confused, "What do you mean?"

"I-I'm an android, Michael." Jeremy said pulling up his sleeve and opening one of the panels on his arm to show Michael the wiring.

"Oh. Uh. Wow." Michael said still stunned.

"There's something else." Jeremy said. "I um, I-I love y-you."

Michael just stared at him, "you..you what?"

"I...uh...I love you." Jeremy repeated looking down playing with a loose thread on his cardigan.

There was silence. For a long, uncomfortable, amount of time.

"...You don't believe me, do you?" Jeremy asked. He had expected plenty of reactions, joy, disgust, hatred. But not this. Nothing like this.

"I mean," Michael began, "Im sure you think that it's love, but that's just because you don't have the capacity to know what true love is. It's not your fault though!" He said hesitant to, oh so politely add, "It's just that you're code."

"As opposed to being chemicals?" Jeremy asked.

They sat in quiet for a while. And not the comfortable kind.

"Can you make it stop?" Jeremy asked.

"What?" Michael asked confused.

Jeremy looked up with tears flowing down his face, "If I'm only code, can you make me stop loving you? Just...just make it stop."

New fucking code: heartbreak

Is this angst? I think it is? Like I'm not tearing, but I still feel bad for hurting Jer. Anyway, that's all for now. What did you think? Feel free to leave some suggestions for the next chapter. Till next time, bye!
