So I didn't get that Christmas one shot written, but here's a New Year's one instead.

Jeremy was sitting on his bed scrolling through his phone when he heard a knock on the door, "Come in." He answered, looking up as the door opened.
Evan peaked his head around the door before entering.
"What's up Ev?" Jeremy asked setting his phone down.
"Do you have any plans on New Year's Eve?" Evan asked.
Jeremy quirked an eyebrow, "No. Why?"
"Well, uh, Jared invited me to a New Year's Eve party that he's going to, and I-I was just wondering if you'd come with me?" Evan asked playing with the hem of his shirt.
"I mean, sure but I won't know anyone there." Jeremy said, "Plus I'm not a real party kind of person."
"That's fine! I just-you'll know me and I wanted you to come with me so-so that If know someone because Jared is probably going to go hang out with his other friends." Evan rushes out quickly.
Jeremy sighed, "Alright. I'll go."
Evan smiled, "Thanks Jerry!"
Jeremy chuckled, "No problem Ev."
And so that's how Jeremy ended up at some random New Year's party in the corner holding his red solo cup.
Evan and Jared has disappeared into the crowd somewhere and Jeremy was just trying to avoid being in the way and around people as much as possible.
Apparently this was a masked New Year's party so Jeremy and Evan had to grab extras that were in a bowl by the door.
Jeremy readjusted his mask for what seemed like the millionth time since he had put it on and made his way out of the room he was in to wonder around.
He ended up going to the basement where he saw an intense gaming tournament going on.
He walked over and watched the two players compete before the screen displayed that player one was victorious.
The guy on the left pumped his fist in the air "Yes! Another win! Anyone else wanna try?"
Jeremy looked around and saw that no one else was going up. He shrugged and walked forward, grabbing the controller, 'Screw it. If I'm going to be here may as well do something I know' He thought to himself.
The guy in the other beanbag turned to him, "Ready to play?"
Jeremy nodded, "Whenever you are."
The guy faced the screen and hit play, "Let the battle begin."
~Meanwhile with Evan~
They'd lost Jeremy. Oh god, they'd lost him. He was just there and now he's not and—
"-van. Evan. Hey, are you okay?" Jared asked looking at him from behind his mask.
"We lost Jeremy. He was with us just a second ago and now he's gone." Evan said beginning to panic.
Jared gently guided him towards a nearby couch and set him down, "Hey, breath with me Evan."
Evan attempted to match Jared's breathing until he calmed down.
"I'm sure Jeremy is fine. He probably just had to use the bathroom or something." Jeremy said, trying to reassure him.
Evan nodded, "Y-yeah. Probably."
