Inside the Cabin Evan is pouring salt along the window sill. His face is a mess – bruised, bloody, and swollen.
Jeremy comes into the room.
"How is he?" Jeremy asked looking to Connor who lied on the bed.
"He just needed a little rest, that's all. How are you?" Evan asked.
"I'll survive." Jeremy said turning to face his stepbrother "Hey, you don't think we were followed here, do you?"
"I don't know. I don't think so. I mean, we couldn't have found a more out-of-the-way place to hole up." Evan said.
"Yeah." Jeremy looked to Evan, "Hey, uh.... Evan, you, um...... you saved my life back there."
"So, I guess you're glad I brought the gun, huh?" Evan said with a slight smirk.
"Man, I'm trying to thank you here."
"You're welcome."
Evan made his way across the room.
"Hey, Evan?" Jeremy said
"Yeah?"
"You know that guy I shot? There was a person in there." Jeremy said.
"You didn't have a choice, Jeremy." Evan said.
"Yeah, I know, that's not what bothers me."
"Then what does?"
"Killing that guy, killing Meg. I didn't hesitate, I didn't even flinch. For you or Connor since he's ya know, your boyfriend, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it's just, uh .... it scares me sometimes."
Evan just looks at him, not knowing what to say.
Just then Connor comes into the room.
"It shouldn't. You did good." Connor said
"You're not mad?" Jeremy asked.
"For what?"
"Using a bullet."
"Mad? I'm proud of you. You know, Evan and I, we can get pretty obsessed. But you – you watch out for this family. You always have." Connor said
"Thanks." Jeremy said.
The wind suddenly picked up and the lights started to flicker. They all rushed over to the window.
"It found us. It's here." Connor said.
"The demon?" Evan asked.
"Evan, lines of salt in front of every window, every door."
"I already did it." Evan said
