I leaped off the bed, heart thrumming, screaming in my chest. I stared into gold eyes. Every muscle in me tensed waiting for the fake human to kill me. Everything screaming in pain as I slammed into the wall near the bed. Trapped. So little room. No air. The wolf jumped between me and the vampire, lips pulled back into a snarl. I was gasping trying to scream. The last thing I saw was the stare down between the wolf and the vampire before... nothingness...

Again. Eyes open and survey that I was indeed tucked into the cream colored. Tears formed in my eyes and I tried to blink them away. I need to focus. Where am I? What is happening? I can't take this fear...
I covered my face with my hands, shaking, trying to stay quiet. What do I do now? That vampire could probably hear me even now. That thought made me shake more, though I tried to stop. A warm, wet nose snuffled my hands. I push it away and a large rough tongue slurps my hand instead. Even through the fear, I couldn't help from showing a watery smile as I looked into the golden eyes of the grey wolf lumbering over me.
I push myself up and off the bed to search my surroundings. I walk over to the beautiful golden light of the balcony and tentatively open a door. A cold breeze rushed in to welcome me as I walked out. The balcony was high up. At least two stories, not including the ravine the house was precariously put next to. Snow covered everything in a soft hazy blanket.
I was disassociating from my thoughts so I wouldn't have another panic attack. I am in a house that belongs to a vampire. I don't know why, or how. I last remembered being shot, and dying, or so I had thought. But now, I'm in a vampires home. Probably for a meal, but that didn't make much sense. Why am I still alive?
Why am I still alive?
I look down. The soft looking snow. Likely, under those random lumps of fluffy snow, craggy rocks and boulders are hiding.
I don't want to be trapped again. Ever. That was my final thought as I climbed onto the balcony rail.
