My throat hurt and everything was swollen. The pain meds made it impossible to move, thank god. They only worked from the neck down, though. Peridot had just left my room.
"What was that about?" Amethyst asked, pointing in the direction Peridot just went.
"Not," I forced myself to say. My throat was on fire, "now."
"In other news," the tv played, "Twenty five year old Jasper Grey,"
Amethyst and I turned towards the TV. I somehow knew what would happen. "was found dead in her apartment today."
What?!
"Police say she suffered brain trauma,"

"from being hit in the head with a blunt object."

"The hit caused a seizure and she died a painful death."
God
"It is presumed she got hit with her own baseball bat. Investigators are giving out a phone number for anyone who can give on-site on the death. The number is 1-800-555..."
Amethyst and I exchanged looks. "What the hell happened?!"
