*Peridot's POV*

"First call for flight 107. Again, we are now boarding flight 107."

"About damn time." some girl behind me complained. She's been complaining for an hour and her complaints are getting dumber. Especially since it was only a fifteen minute delay.

"I know right." her friend answered, sarcastically. I could tell she was sick of her friend complaining. "It's been sooo long." she mocked. "How would we have survived a whole fifteen minutes." They finally got up and started boarding, but I still heard her mumble "Bitch."

I stared at my ticket. This is it. This is my chance at fame. This is my chance at a better life. My ticket to a better life. It was all mine.

It was chilly in the airport And people began to get up and leave. So many people were going. Some might be getting at a better life. Some might be going on vacation. Who knew where any of these people would be going on in life? No one. The same went for me.

The rain that kept up the flight finally ceased. The was... quiet? Well, it was peaceful. It was somehow one of the quietest places I have ever been, though it was somewhat packed and noisy. And I could thing. Think so clear.

Something felt wrong.

Don't worry about it. This could be the best mistake of my life. The thought put me to ease.

I walked over to an emptier side of the waiting area and took a deep breath. This was it. I was finally putting this chapter of my life behind me.

I took out my phone and sent a group text to Amethyst and Lapis.

I waited for 30 seconds, staring at my phone. Then my phone buzzed.

I deleted and blocked Amethyst, then waited patiently for Lapis. Waited and waited and waited. I don't know how long I spent waiting, but I soon heard "Last call for flight 107." With a sigh, I boarded the flight.

I couldn't pay attention to the flight attendant. Just starting at the phone. Nothing even made sense. Why can't I get a text back?

Lapis lazuli made me rethink. She made me smile and laugh. She made me worry for some reason.

And then I met Amethyst. She was sweet and sour. Her mood depended on everything. I was a freshman and she was a junior. I was kind of her freshman. She protected me, bullied me, and consoled me. I was basically her little sister.

And then she told me about a girl who was younger than me. I felt... Replaced? Well, I definitely wasn't special anymore.
