The sea is like an endless abyss
Based on the perception,
It can be seen as a well of hope
Or a void of despair
Nevertheless, it is beautiful
But more so
If you open the right door
And what your eyes see
May come as a surpriseAbove the calm sea is the Sun
A bright, burning flame
It will not go out not this hour,
Nor when the day is done
As a golden flower,
It is a light
Of joy and cheerfulness
It is a good sort of bright
As we look up into the sky
And realize we are indeed blessedOnce night rolls around
By the sea in a small town,
Gone will be the frowns
The sea will simmer down
As the waves go by
Slowly but steadily
Like a heartbeat in the nightThe stars twinkle
As small lights
Their blanket is the night
Stars, small wrinkles
Always there but not always seen
Count them if you can
Perhaps, by the light of the moon and stars,
You will catch a tanIt may seem like something new,
The different, shifting shades of blue
That move through the night
In both the dark and the light
But let me assure you
It is as old as the moon
The sea, sun, and stars have always been
Such beauties of familiarity
Which we may miss if we don't see
What has been and always will be.
