P.O.V Lily
It is a sunny morning on the island of Inut. Terrible terrors are singing in the rooftops. I stretch and yawn, blinking open my eyes. I stand and walk outside, where the dragon riders are laughing and playing with their dragons. Where is she? She should be around, oh there she is. "Atlanta!" I yell, running over. "How are you, today?" I ask. Atlanta seems a bit suprised to be approached by me. "I'm fine, thank you Lily." She stammers. I laugh. "Its about time we got you a dragon. Meet me tomorrow by the stables." I smile. I turn and walk down to my favourite spot. I should go back to the other island but I couldn't face them again. I miss them. I can't lead him to them. I close my eyes and sit down on the beach. A small iceberg is in the distance. "Octon Iceberg." I whisper. I watch as it comes closer slowly. "Every eight years it comes to Inut. No wonder.' I say, laughing. I start reciting a saga that I was supposed to tell tomorrow for the annual Inut feast. A roar from behind me pulls me back into reality. I turn, my eyes low. A flash of white, clashing with a flash of black. The black thing is defiantly a Night Fury, I can tell from the size. What is the white one though? I back up, afraid. The dragons freeze, turning towards me. The Night Fury growled and the other one, also a night fury, but a very light grey, growling at me. I step back uneasily. What do they want? I swallow. How do you say what do you want in Dragonese? I don't know. Maybe I could figure it out. The best I can think of is How do you do. So I take a chance. 'How do you do?' I ask softly. The dragons tilt their head. The Black one answers. 'I am well, Thank you.' He says. I swallow and look at the white Night Fury. 'I have never seen a white Night Fury before. You must be very special.' The Night fury nods. 'My name is Avalanche and this is my brother, Orion.' She says, shyly. I smile. Some people say dragons cannot understand us. But I know different. 'I am Lily.' I say. The dragons smile before Orion frowns. 'I'm off, I need to meet Aspara and Gus.' He says, before flying off. Avalanche turns to me. 'So, your the Lily? Leader of the protectors of the wings? That's amazing! I grew up with stories of your parents and ancestors. Your ancestors apparently saved so many dragons that the Bewilderbeast alpha gave you a island in the middle of the alpha islands!' Avalanche seems exited. How does she know these things? I ask Myself. I reach out and place a hand on her head. 'Why don't you come home with me? I need someone to hang out with.' The dragon tilts her head. 'Sure! Take me to your home!'
I take Avalanche to my home, where I have been working with metals. I am the junior blacksmith of Inut. I pick up my latest invention. A sword that uses Stormcutter saliva and flightmare mist to create a blue flame. This flame is cool but still burns. It works better then normal flame on death song amber and will paralyse a victim. Avalanche jumps about, being annoying. 'What's this?' She asks, holding up old design for the sword. 'Avalanche don't. Drop it now!' I say, angry. I guess this is going to be harder then I thought.
