P.O.V Lily
The waves are licking at my feet as I stand on the beach. I breathe in the salty air and sigh. Suddenly the waves are up to my chest and I fall to the floor where I sit up, bumping my head into someone's face. "Avalanche! You know how disgusting that is?" I hiss, rubbing my head and trying to get all the night fury saliva off my chest.  Avalanche laughs. "Its not my fault you are a lazy sleepy head!" She laughs. I sigh, getting up and standing, before she looks at me. "Oh I know, You want to go flying?" I say. She looks at me, before narrowing her eyes and tilting her head. She then opens her mouth and sticks out her tongue and licking my face over and over again. "AVALANCHE!" I scream, jumping back. "That is absolutely disgusting!" She laughs and picks me up by the arm and drags me out of the house. She laughs at my expression as she drags me out and dumps me on the ground. Before me sat a tiny Timberjack. "Where did you come from, Little one?" I ask, picking him up in my arms. I stroke his head. The baby Timberjack looked up. "I dwon't know. My parents were kwilled by people." I sigh. Its bad enough that the Dragon Hunters take out adults, but parents? That's too far. "Its ok, I'll take care of you. How old are you?" I ask. He looks at me. "I was hatched on the first day of spring." He said. I frown. "That was two days ago? Your only a newborn!" I say. I stroke his head and turn to Avalanche. "How did you find him?" I ask. She looks at her feet... No paws. No claws. Oh never mind. She looks back up. "I went flying last night when you were asleep. The hunters caught him near Octon Iceberg." She says. I gasp. "They are getting closer to Inut every day!" I hiss.  I stroke Avalanche's head and go back inside, where my stuff is everywhere. I still haven't  unpacked, as I moved into this house yesterday because of Avalanche. "Might as well unpack, If I am going to get more dragons." I say, picking up a box. It takes most of the day to unpack, with Avalanche and the Timberjack, who I had decided to name Ruddy, messing around. Soon I found out that my house leads into a mountain, where there are caves. Perfect for dragons. The first two rooms I made in there were for Avalanche and Ruddy. Ruddy's room is filled with small dragon toys. Avalanche's is filled with fish and has a stream flowing through it. I smile. Perfect. I feel a small nudge on my arm and look down, seeing Avalanche. "Can we go flying? Ruddy has only been flying once and as he can't fly I thought that if you could carry him he could come with us." I look at her. "Sure! Come on!" I say, picking up Ruddy. "What do you say boy?" I ask. Ruddy giggles. "I wanna go!" I smile and mount Avalanche before we fly into the sky. "Well good afternoon Lily. Your out late." Says a voice to my right and I turn to see Cindy. "Oh hey Cindy!" I smile. Cindy is the chiefs one and only daughter and the heir. We don't have a son of the chief but Inut has always been happy with just a daughter. Zirconia, Cindy's dragon, A Razorwhip, looks at me. "So, you found yourself a new dragon, hmm? He is tiny! What breed is he?" She asks, being nosy. I laugh. "Zir, he's a Timberjack, only a couple days old. His name is Ruddy." She smiles. Cindy frowns and looks at me. "You really need to teach me how to speak to dragons." I laugh. "It doesn't just take learning, you must have a connection to the dragon." I scratch Ruddy's head and look at her. She frowns. "But I already have a connection with Zirconia. What else do I need." She asks. I sigh. "Alright, I'll teach you some." I say. "Repeat after me. Hello Zirconia." I say, the last part in Dragonese. Cindy frowned. "Helsa Zacina." She says. I start laughing. "What? What did I say?" She demands. I smile. "Helsa Zacina." She frowns before trying again. "Hello Zirconia." She says. I smile. Zirconia looks up. "Hello Cindy." She says, smiling. Cindy gasps. "I understood her!" She screams. "Shh!" I hiss. Asger, her father, is terrified of dragons and still doesn't want them on his island. However, we convinced him to let them stay. Cindy smiles.

After about an hour flying, a black night fury joins us. Its Orion. I smile at him and say hello in Dragonese. Cindy also tries but ends up saying something different. Orion tries to hold back a chuckle. "I like her, she tries hard." He states, before starting to follow us.

Hey Defenders!

Not bad for a chapter I should have finished this morning. I have been so distracted this thing has been sitting here as a draft for five days. Wow, five days? Anyway, I have figured out I will update this on a Monday and a Saturday, maybe sometimes on a Friday. This is because of my busy schedule. Now don't worry, Its still holidays for me, so I probably will update a couple of times, probably. And I will not keep you waiting, maybe. Anyway, I have added a new thing! Every chapter will have a quote of the day! Suggest some! Todays quote was actually roleplayed by my good buddy, Aquatail626. Go check her out!

Atlanta shrugged. "I need to learn." She said then tried speaking a quote she had heard from her parents in dragonese. "A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have." She beamed with pride as she said the words correctly.

(The quote is in Bold)

I really enjoyed writing this chapter. And before you ask, yes I do have a crush on Cindy. But don't mind me, I'm just a simple.... AVALANCHE YOU USELESS REPTILE YOU KNOW HOW DISGUSTING THAT IS!
