Chapter Eleven
“It’s nine.” I heard Seth whisper.
“I guess I need to go home then and let you get your math homework done.” I said using the same tone. I could see him staring at me so I looked at him. We have been lying on his bed like this for a while now.
“You could stay longer, if you wanted.” Seth seemed shy, which I found really cute.
“You need to do your maths, plus my mum will want me home soon anyway.” He gave me a small smile as to agree, but I could tell that he really did want me to stay. I started to shuffle to the edge of the bed and hopped off. I pulled at my skirt and leant down to grab my converse. I didn’t hear Seth get off the bed but I felt him squeeze my waist behind me.
“Let me get my shoes and ill take you home then.” He kissed my hair and moved past me out the door.
I walked around Seth’s room until I came to his desk that sat beside his T.V. There’s three picture frames, one of Seth and me at the beach. Another of his mum and dad in there house in America and finally the one that got my attention. It never really caught me eye before, so I don’t know why I was so interested in it now. It was a picture of Seth and Ross on what looks like Ross’ birthday, they look about 7 and 8. Ross has a badge with birthday boy and with cake all around his mouth.
Seth looks like he is having a blast along beside his older brother. He is wearing a happy birthday hat and also has cake on his face.
“You okay there?” I jumped and nearly dropped the picture frame as I let out a small scream.
“Oh my god, you could have gave me a heart attack!” I shouted at him but I don’t think it was any use. Seth was rolling about his bed laughing at my girly scream.
“Y-you’re …You’re F-face!” He chuckled.
I put the photo back on the desk and playfully punched Seth on the shoulder as he sat up.
“Oh kinky.” He winked at me.
“You’re disgusting.” I stuck my tongue out at him but he just started to laugh all over again.
I stood there with my arms crossed and waited for him to stop laughing.
“You finished laughing at me yet?” I asked.
“Maybe, come on lets get you home.” He uncrossed my arms and held my hand as we made our way to the car.
“Why were you so focused on my pictures?” He asked as he started the engine.
“Just looking.” I lied. In the photo the boys looked so happy together, and now they near enough hate each other. What happened to the happy little boys in the picture?
In the corner of my eye I could see Seth taking long glances me way.
“Anything I can help you with?” I asked sarcastically.
“Just looking.” He answered.
“Ha-ha, very funny, keep your eyes on the road.”
When we parked outside I could see colours from the TV’s flashing all through the living room, letting me know my mum was in there.
I looked back at Seth who was already staring at me. Instead of saying what I was going to say I simply just mirrored the smile he was giving me.
“You’re so beautiful.” Seth tells me in a whisper. Thank god it was dark in the car, if not he would see me strawberry red face. It’s weird how I still blush after going out with Seth for so long.
“Thanks.” It comes out shaky but he doesn’t seem to notice as his face nears mine. His head tilts slightly to the side as his hand makes his way through my hair. Our lips crash together and his lips are warm and welcoming. I wrap my arms around him neck and beg for more, then I could feel his tongue make its way across my top lip asking for entrance. I opened my mouth enough to let his tongue make its way in and mix with mine. As we are humans we need air, so unfortunately we had to part.
“You’re amazing.” I hear myself say. OMG, did I really just say that? I open one eye to find he’s already watching me. I open both my eyes properly then smile awkwardly.
“I know I am.” He said winking at me.
“Your so full of yourself!” I laughed. I let go of my grasp around his neck and turned back to my house, “I think I better go.”
“Okay, do you want me to come pick you up?”
“Yea, okay. As I started to exit the car, he learnt over and grabbed my waist.
“You don’t get away that easy!” he told me. I took my seat back in the passenger seat and turned my body to face him once again.
“I don’t?” I questioned.
“No.” He leaned over and gave me a gentle kiss on the lips, “Okay now you can leave.” I started to laugh at him and he joined in, I leant over and gave him a slightly harder kiss before saying night.
“Night, sleep tight.” He called after me when I closed the door.
I waved to him and made my way to the house.
