Chapter six
Seth gave me a lift home around half three. I asked Seth if he wanted to come in for a little bit but he said he has homework to finish for tomorrow. We kissed and then headed inside. When I opened the door I could hear the TV in the living room. I walked into the living room to find mum sitting on the sofa with her feet up on the coffee table, funny how she can do it but I can’t. I walked over to the bean bag and fell on it. I loved the feeling of the bean bag, it is so comfy. I put my bag beside my feet and watched what ever mum was watching on the TV. I found out that she was watching a recorded dance moms. I liked Dance moms but I wasn’t really in the mood. I got back up from the bean bag and grabbed my bag.
“Where are you going?” my mum asked.
“I’ve got a drawing for art to finish for tomorrow.” I lied. I wanted to just relax in my room.
“Okay,” I started to walk out the room but mum then asked me, “Oh, and how was Abbie’s? Fun?” oh no.
“Abbie’s wasn’t fun at all, all we done was study and after I phoned you we watched a film and fell asleep, how was your night?” I really didn’t care how my mums night was or what she did, I just needed to get away from any more lies.
“It was okay, I sat and watched pretty woman.”
“Mum, you know I love that movie!”
“Oh, Alice. You love every movie.” She gave me a small smirk but I frowned back at her.
“Fine, but I wonder where I get it from?” I gestured towards the shelf stacked full of DVD’s. Mum looked over and gave a small chuckle.
“Well those aren’t all mine. But the Hartley family do love a good movie.” That was true, so I nodded my agreement and headed for the door.
In my room I throw my bag on the floor after taking my phone out. I pulled my converse off and took my white cardigan off. I sat down on my floor where I left my laptop and turned it on. My laptop has so much crap on it that it takes for ever to start up. Once it finally came on I put in my password and smiled at my desktop picture. It was a picture of me and Seth holding hands on the beach. I smile at it every time it comes up. I logged into facebook and I had a friend request. Curious I clicked on it. Oh no.
Ross Taylor wants to be your friend. Without thinking I clicked accept. I wasn’t going to play his stupid game and by accepting him im showing him im not scared. I wasn’t going to be scared.
Ross Taylor: Hey Sexy
He’s online.
Alice Hartley: Im not in the mood Ross.
I really wish I didn’t type back because as soon as I saw
Ross is typing… I knew he wouldn’t just leave me alone.
Ross Taylor: Oh what’s wrong L little fall out with the boyfriend?
Alice Hartley: Me and ‘the boyfriend’ are fine, but we don’t need anyone like you to get in the way. Just leave me alone.
Ross Taylor: you know I can’t Alice.
Alice Hartley: why can’t you leave me alone?
Ross Taylor: because I told you, you were going to regret kicking me in the balls and I always go through with what I say. Either I get my revenge or you give me what I want.
Alice Hartley is now offline.
After Ross’ words came up on my screen I shivered and put the laptop on the floor. I logged off immediately and shut down my computer. My phone buzzed beside me and I jumped. It was a text from Abbie, as I opened it, there was a knock at my door. I placed my phone on the floor and stoop up. I opened the door.
“What do you want for tea, Hun?”
“Whatever.”
“Okay ‘cause im going to Tesco to get shopping, I was thinking fajitas?”
“Yea, sounds good.” I heard my phone buzz again.
“Do you want to come with me?” my mum asked. I wanted to but right now I wanted to just think.
“Im fine, you go.”
“Okay, do you want anything?” she started to walk away and down the stairs but I shouted sprite behind her.
After I closed my door and picked up my phone I opened up my messages. They both were from Abbie.
Abbie: Did your mum say anything about last night?
Abbie: I didn’t know Seth had an older brother? You never tell me anything these days.
How did Abbie find out Seth had a brother? My heart started to pound out of my chest. I phoned Abbie.
