DC/Marvel Union?
For the past few weeks, Twitter and Instagram have been alive. Apparently the Captain America: Civil War actor, Tom Holland, has recently located our favorite female archer in the world of DC Comics: The CW's own Kaycie Bentley.
Bentley plays Evelyn Sharp, aka Artemis, on The CW's Arrow, which is a part of the DC Comic book world. Holland recently landed the role as Queens' very own Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in the Marvel Comic Universe.
Holland commented on a post made by Bentley on Instagram just three weeks ago now, a post that Bentley made with co-star Stephen Amell. Bentley used the hashtags 'dc rocks' and 'superheroes' in her post, which prompted Holland to comment with the hashtags 'marvel rocks' and 'dc is lame'.
Since then, the two have been spotted going back and forth in what seems to be friendly banter on their social medias about which comic book universe is better: DC or Marvel.
Even their fellow co-stars have gotten involved in the friendly war between the two actors. Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson in the MCU, even took to Twitter to boast about how much better Marvel was compared to DC, prompting a hilarious four-tweet rant from the 20 year old DC actress.
Now, we all know that it's all just friendly banter between the two comic worlds, especially since Bentley as voiced multiple times how she loved both the MCU and DC equally.
In fact, one of Bentley's Teen Wolf co-stars, Holland Roden, took to the comment section of one of Bentley's posts to say that Kaycie once told her that Spider-Man was her favorite superhero from Marvel. And now she's possibly friends with the web slinging spider himself?
However, another one of Bentley's Teen Wolf co-stars, Tyler Hoechlin, was recently casted in the CW's Supergirl as the Last Son of Krypton himself--Superman--not long after Kaycie was cast as Artemis for Arrow. So, now, not only have the two worked together on Teen Wolf--where Bentley played Paige Krasikeva in a series of flashbacks that portrayed an important part of Beacon Hills', and Derek Hale's, history--but they now both have important roles in the DC Comic Universe.
As for Kaycie Bentley and Tom Holland, we can only hope that the two actors spark a beautiful friendship with more friendly banter to come. And, hopefully, we'll even see the two support each other in their roles in the separate comic universes.
Maybe we'll even see the two fall in love, as Holland has, on a few occasions, complimented Bentley; calling her "cute". He even professed his love for her after she roasted Mackie on her Twitter just a few weeks ago.
What do the fans think?
Should Holland and Bentley became the next power couple in Hollywood?
Do you think they're just better off friends?
Or would you rather the two of them just stick to their own comic universes and end the banter, staying rivals due to their relations in the MCU and DC?
