*fluff fluff fluff*

Kaycie's eyes fluttered open, the dawn of a new day shining through the curtains of Tom's bedroom in his temporary Montreal home.

The rise and fall of her boyfriend's chest while he still slept reminded her that she had fallen asleep with her head resting against the bare skin of his chest. His arm was still wrapped around her waist while his steady heartbeat filled her ear and the sound of his soft snores eased her peacefully.

She didn't want to leave.

Kaycie only had one more week with her boyfriend in Montreal. They had already gone through two out of the three weeks that she planned for her trip to see him.

The trip was something she needed. With Hunter lurking around L.A. and clearly hell bent on destroying her relationship, she just needed some time away. She needed Tom.

But ever since Tom had texted Hunter on Kaycie's phone and then blocked his number, the couple had also blocked him on their social media accounts. And neither of them had heard from him again.

Tossing any thoughts of her ex-boyfriend from her mind, Kaycie turned her head, resting her chin atop of her hand, which rested against his pectoral muscle. Her arm had already been slung over his waist, so, she just had to bend her elbow to place her hand on his chest.

A soft smile ghosted her lips as she looked at his face. His lips were parted softly, quiet snores escaping. He had gotten a haircut a few days after she had unexpectedly showed up at his door, so, he didn't have the curls she loved so much. However, he was still her Tommy and she loved him with every fiber in her being.

She sighed softly and let her head fall back against his chest, still twisted so that she could watch him sleep. He looked peaceful, as if he didn't have a single worry in the world. She loved seeing him at peace.

"Haven't you ever been taught that it's not polite to stare, love?"

Tom's morning voice was music to her ears. It sounded a little deeper than usual and there was a hint of drowsiness still there. But it sent a shiver down her spine.

She focused on his face again and saw his eyes opened just enough to be looking at her and a smile ghosted his own lips.

Tom's smile brighted more when a giggle escaped from the small girl beside him. He already had one arm around her waist, so, he draped his other arm across his body to grip her body and pull her just a little closer.

"You were drooling a little bit," Kaycie teased him.

Of course, he knew it wasn't true. He knew he didn't drool in his sleep. "You little liar," he playfully scowled.

Her laughter filled his ears and made his heart pick up it's pace. Tom loved the effect that she had on him. He loved that she didn't even have any idea what she did to him; because if she knew that her smile made his heart beat so fast, he thought it'd surely jump from his chest, she'd never smile again in fear she'd hurt him. It's how Kaycie was. She thought she could control what was uncontrollable.

He shot up from his pillow, burying his face into her neck as he rolled over. She fell back on the mattress with a squeal and her little hands wrapped around his waist as he now hovered over her. "Tom!" she giggled.
