Jack leaves and about 20 minutes later I hear a knock on the door. I stand up quickly and fix my hair. I put my phone in my pocket and head towards the door. I open the door and Jonah quickly looks at me and smiles. I smile back.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"You look amazing." Jonah said staring into my eyes
"Thanks, you too." I said looking down and blushing. Jonah lifted my head with his finger.
"I wanna see your beautiful smile. It's adorable. Now come on. We got a long night ahead of us." Jonah put out his hand and I took it. We intertwined our fingers and headed towards he elevator. There was an eerie silence, but it wasn't awkward, it was more comforting. We got to the car and Jonah went around to the other side and opened the door for me then jogged back to his side. He got in and smiled at me before turning on the car and pulling out of the hotel lot.
"So where is this mystery date to Mr. Marais?"
"Well, Ms. Anderson first we could have a nice walk at the Santa Monica beach, explore a little bit on the Boardwalk, then I was thinking we could go to the Pier and have a little fun. Eat junk food, go on some rides."
"I have never heard anything more Tumblr come out of your mouth before." Jonah laughed.
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Nope it's perfect."
--Time Skip--
We got to the beach and we started walking towards the Pier. It was 7:30 when we got to the beach. Jonah parked near the Lifeguard Tower so we started walking down the beach. We both had taken off our shoes and were walking side by side.
"So, Chelsea. . ."
"So, Jonah. . ."
"How about we play a little game to get to know each other a little better." Jonah wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"What do you have in mind?" I lean my head into Jonah's side.
"20 questions?" I nod," What's one of your nicknames?"
"Ocean."
"That's cute. How'd you get it?"
"When I moved to San Francisco, I didn't know anyone. I went to the beach one day and met my current friend Ethan. He started calling me Ocean ever since because that's the first place we met, in the Ocean." Jonah nods. It was my turn.
"If you could change your name, what would you change it to and why?" Jonah thought for a second.
"Dylan just because it sounds like a more masculine name I guess." I smile," What was your favorite show as a kid?"
"It'd have to be Ed, Edd, n' Eddy." Jonah laughs," Come on, the Jetsons was way better!" Jonah emphasizes 'way'," No it wasn't Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy was way funnier. They even had a plank, what did the Jetson's have?"," A funny ass family is what they had. Leroy and Elroy were amazing!"
