CHAPTER 21

RECAP of Chapter 20:
"Dakota, I've been here on earth for a few centuries now and I have been looking for you ever sense I heard about soul mates existing. I have loved you even before I met you. But when my parents came to me with another meeting with a family arranged marriage thing, I was starting to lose hope in finding my one and only. But as soon as you flew down those stairs on your head I was concerned about your health for a second till I laid my eyes on you, I couldn't take my eyes off of you. Right then I knew that you were the one, you were my soul mate. So as I'm here right now, asking you to be mine forever. Will you marry me?"
Everyone was clapping loudly and aweing at us again. I nodded my head like a crazy person with happy tears streaming down my cheeks. Stefan put the ring on my ring finger and kissed me passionately. If I'd known the man could kiss like that with this much passion then I would get engaged to him every day!
When all the congratulations' were over and we were done at the family gathering Stefan, Tegan, Hannah and I all went home. We didn't get home till late though so when we got home we all changed and went to bed. I laid there for a good half hour thinking, but they weren't coherent thoughts. So after a while I fell into a peaceful sleep with my fiancée.

I was being shaken awake by Stefan at only God knows what time.
"Dakota! Wake up!"
"Huh? What?" I sat bolt upright my head colliding with Stefan's.
I groaned. Great now I have another head ache.
"You were screaming in your sleep."
"Oh, haha, I never mentioned that I do that a lot in my sleep?" I said awkwardly.
"Uh, no you didn't."
"Oh, well what time is it anyway?"
Stefan glanced behind me at the clock then looked down at me.
"It's three o'clock exactly."
"Well, good morning!" I said sarcastically, and then added. "And good night."
I flipped over onto my other side and my eyes started flutter closed. Stefan sighed and put his arm around my waist, pulling my back to his chest.
"Love you." He whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
"Love you too."
Soon after our exchange of words I fell back into a dreamless sleep.

Later that morning I awoke again to hear whispering, coming from no other than Hannah and Tegan.
"Who knew someone could sleep that close together?" Hannah whispered to Tegan.
"It's like they morphed and became one!"
I took the moment that they stopped whispering to take in my surroundings with closed eyes. I was indeed almost morphed into one with Stefan. My back was no longer pressed against his chest, and now my legs were tangle with his along with my arms. My face was pressed to his chest too. It was like we were a giant pretzel!
"Or they became a human pretzel!" Hannah exclaimed a little too loudly. Thank god she didn't wake Stefan up.
I untangled myself from Stefan and sat up looking at the two that were standing at the bottom of the bed. They looked at me innocently for a minute then took off screaming. I bolted for the door but only got it in the face by Hannah. I yanked the door open and charged after them.
